Lyons PeterLYONS, Peter Ford - (July 13, 1936 - February 11, 2017) - In his 81st year. Born on July 13, 1936 in Lindsay, Ontario, and resided at Retirement Suites of Kawartha Lakes, Bobcaygeon, Ontario.

Pete was predeceased by his parents, Doctor Clive and Edna Lyons. Survived by his wife Janice (Jan) Lyons, married for 58 years. Pete was brother to John Lyons (Pat), Ed Lyons, and Bill Lyons (Diane).

Pete is also survived by his 4 children; Patti Lyons (John) of Amherstburg, Ontario, Jennifer Brown (Dave) of Peterborough, Ontario, Jeff Lyons (Kim) of Whitby, Ontario and Tim Lyons (Heather) of Merritt, BC. Pete was the proud Papa of 9 grandchildren.

He retired as Area Manager of Central Maintenance, General Motors after 33 years. Pete was an excellent horseman and raced two fan favorites, Kingly Hour and Prides Brat.

Pete entered into rest peacefully surrounded by his family after a long struggle with COPD, at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario on February 11th, 2017.

At Pete's request there has been cremation and no funeral. There will be a family burial in the late spring when his ashes will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, Pete has requested any donations in his memory be made to Lindsay Boys and Girls Club. Arrangements entrusted to the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, Peterborough.
