HICKEY, Heather Isobel (nee Stillman, formerly Hill) – Peacefully, with her family at her side, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Friday, March 3, 2017, in her 58th year.

Heather, beloved husband of Greg Hickey. Loving mother of Jay Murray and Amanda Hill. Proud grandmother of Megan & Melanie Clements and Owen, Ava and Lena Hill.

Dear daughter of Elizabeth (nee Mitchell) and the late Donald A. Stillman. Sister of Keith Stillman (Patricia) and Sue Ketcheson (Shawn). Heather will be remembered by many other friends and relatives in Otonabee.

Special thanks to Nurses Marg Martin and Trudy Jefferies for their kindness and care during Heather’s illness.

Some of Heather’s passions include taking care of a wide variety of animals, pets and critters, spending time in her garden and nurturing her flowers, time on the boat, decorating and generally enjoying life at her Ennismore home. A dedicated Educational Assistant, Heather was also co-owner of Lakeview Transport with Greg.

A Celebration of Heather’s Life will be held at The Quarry Golf Club, 447 Tara Road, Ennismore, on Saturday, March 18th from 1 - 4 pm.

Following Heather’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and she will be interred beside her Dad, at Fife’s Cemetery, at a later date. 

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society would be welcome. Arrangements entrusted with Ashburnham funeral home, Peterborough.
