DeCarlo Zakarow GinaDECARLO-ZAKAROW, Regina Mary Bernadette 'Gina' - R.N.A. – Long-time member of St. Peter’s Cathedral. Graduate of Sir Sanford Fleming School of Nursing. Past member of the YWCA. Past Kawartha Diving Champion and Ontario Champion for the Mile Swim.

Peacefully, with her loving friend and partner George at her side, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Regina of Peterborough in her 94th year.

Beloved wife of George Baird and the late George Zakarow. Loving mother of the late Mary Jean Zakarow. Daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary DeCarlo.

Sister of Angela DeCarlo-Hurford (late Ernest) and the late Peter (Madeliene), Fred (Mary), Anne (Leonard Tobin), Grace (James Revoy), Rose (Glenn King), Danny (Jeannette), Anthony (surviving wife Thelma) and Teresa (Tony Titus).

Visiting will be held at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road on Wednesday, March 15th from 10-11 a.m., with a celebration of Regina’s life to follow in the chapel at 11 a.m. A reception will be held in the Legacy Room after the service, and interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery will follow the reception.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Regina.
