Wilkins WayneWILKINS, Wayne - With profound sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wayne (Wiener) Wilkins on March 9th, 2017 at Lakeridge Health surrounded by his loving family after a short but courageous battle with cancer, in his 70th year.

Survived by his devoted and loving daughter Kim Jones and her partner Doug, his adored grandson Ryan Jones (Desiree) and two great grandsons Ethan and Lucus who were Upa’s pride and joy. Will be sadly missed by Daisy his four-legged friend.

Predeceased by parents Ben and Mary Wilkins and two siblings. Survived by eight brothers and two sisters. Wayne was a Solid uncle to many nieces and nephews & great nieces and nephews.

Wayne was born in Newfoundland, travelled West and spent many years living in Peterborough, then the last few years in Oshawa.

A celebration of life will held on Sunday, March 19th at Harman Park Community Centre, 799 Douglas Street, Oshawa (beside Harman Park Arena) at 12 – 4pm. Wayne’s wishes would be for you to attend in casual attire. Arrangements entrusted with Benson-Shields Funeral Home, Millbrook.
