Lupton PhyllisLUPTON, Phyllis Maybelle (nee Wismer) - Passed away peacefully at Royal Gardens, Peterborough, Ontario on Friday, March 24th, 2017 in her 89th year.

Beloved wife of the late Harry Gordon Lupton for over 43 years. Phyllis was the daughter of Daniel and May Belle Wismer (nee-Cornelius). Originally from Camden, Ontario, Phyllis grew up on the family farm and enjoyed the company of her cousins in the Louth and Cornelius families.

Phyllis will be fondly remembered by all her cousins, their children and her close friends. Phyllis and Gord were members of Knox United Church for many years where she participated in the choir and was an active volunteer. She also volunteered with Junior Farmers, the Peterborough Exhibition Board, Lang, and the Theatre Guild.

Phyllis was an avid weaver and a longtime participant in the Spinning and Weavers Guild. Over the years, Phyllis was a generous supporter of the Peterborough Hospital Foundation.

Thank you to the staff of Royal Gardens for their patient and thoughtful care. A very special thank you to Anne and Lorrie for the friendship and support they provided to both Phyllis and Gord for many years.

Visitation will begin at 2 PM followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 3 PM on Thursday, March 30th at COMSTOCK-KAYE LIFE CELEBRATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough.

Interment will take place on Monday April 3rd at 1:00 PM at Vineland Cemetery, Vineland, Ontario, with a reception to follow at Tallman Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be a wonderful tribute to Phyllis and greatly appreciated.
