HOPE, Emily Florence (nee Chaplin, formerly Woodward and MacFarlane) – Peacefully, with her family at her side, at Riverview Manor, on Saturday, April 15, 2017. Emily of Peterborough, formerly of Oakwood, in her 87th year.
Loving wife of the late Leonard Hope, John Woodward and Roy MacFarlane.
Dear mother of Kenneth, Martin, Philip, Andrea, Pearl, Robert, Alan and Wendy. Proud grandmother and great grandmother. Emily will always be missed by her extended family and friends across Canada and the U.K.
Past owner of Romily Kennels where she was a champion chihuahua breeder, and helped create the modern day “Tea-cup” Chihuahua.
A dedicated craft worker, Emily was skilled with knitting, crochet, needlework and could even spin her own yarn. She set an example of how to get projects finished.
A graveside service will be held at the LAKEFIELD CEMETERY, 1262 Buckhorn Road, Lakefield, on Saturday, April 29 at 11 am.
Donations to Telecare Distress Centre, Peterborough would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted with Ashburnham funeral home, Peterborough.
