Hamilton DarrellHAMILTON, Darrell Troy - Age 50, Peterborough, Ontario - Passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2017.

Darrell was born and raised in Cherry Brook, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.  He was the son of Olive Mae (West) Hamilton and Paul T. Hamilton. Darrell had a great passion for cooking, fishing and physical fitness. He worked at many restaurants as a chef and was one of the best in his field. He also had a love for cars and fixing things; he loved music and was a big MMA fan.

Darrell is predeceased by his parents Olive and Paul Hamilton, his brother Gary Hamilton, and also by his aunts Mary(West) Gangoo, Shirley West, Elizabeth Jefferies, Marie (West) Loppie and Kathleen (Beals) Hamilton. He is also predeceased by his common-law wife Anna Marie Mason, and by his uncles Georgie West, Allan West, Joseph Gangoo and Stanley Beals.

Darrell is survived by his wife Lindie Hamilton (Peterborough) and by sons Cameron, Jurrett, & Keon (Hamilton) and by Nicholas Allen, Paul Mason, Darrell Junior Mason, Brandon Morton, Jordan Morton, and by daughters Keshia Mason and Jaden Morton.

He is also survived by his granddaughters Mia Mason, Annah-Bell Mason, and Ciara (Mason) Broadbent and by his grandsons Deandre Paris and Ashton (Hamilton) Jones. He is also survived by his sisters Judy Hamilton (Halifax), Phyllis Hamilton (Dartmouth), Shelley Hamilton (Toronto); sister in law Robbin Hamilton (Oshawa);brothers Charles Hamilton (Dartmouth)and Mark Hamilton (Halifax); and aunts Beatrice Wilkins (Dartmouth), Rose Campbell (Halifax) and uncle Freddie West (Halifax) and Perry West (Halifax). Darrell is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him very much.

The first memorial for his Peterbrough family has taken place on April 27th Highland Park Funeral Centre with a private repass for family at their home.

A second family memorial service was held held Saturday May 6th 3pm, at Cherry brook United Baptist Church, 331 Cherry brook Road, Dartmouth. The repass for friends and family took place at 3377 Agricola St, Halifax afterwards.
