McILWAIN, Edward Raymond Joseph - (Former Owner of County Electric and Peterborough Electric. Founding President of Peterborough Downtown Business Association) -

Passed away unexpectedly at Fairhaven on August 3, 2017 in his 92nd year.

Beloved husband of Emily (nee Wilshaw) for 70 years. Loving father of Brian and his wife Karen. Proud Pops of Christina deBlois and her husband Ray and Matthew and his wife Sara Hassani.

Predeceased by his parents Robert and Elizabeth (nee Quinlan) McIlwain and brothers Herbert and Charles. Will be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law George, Harold (Agnes), Max (Helen) and sister-in-law Lillian. Will be missed by the Perks Family.

Edward was the former President and Coach of St. Anne's Church League Hockey and Assistant Coach in the Peterborough Girls' Minor Hockey League.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Comstock-Kaye life celebration centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 11th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 859 Barnardo Avenue, Peterborough. Interment to follow at Lakefield Cemetery.

If so desired, donations in memory of Edward may be made to Kawartha Food Share or Brock Mission.
