For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Persson KarinPERSSON, Karin Margareta Ulrika1954 - 2018

Passed away peacefully June 6th, 2018 at PRHC following a long and courageous battle with cancer, with her immediate family by her side.

She will be truly missed by her husband of 40 years, Dick Persson, her children Jill & Jennie Persson and their partners, her grandchild Alexander, her parents, siblings and extended family in Sweden and Canada.

Her many friends in both the Peterborough area and in Sweden where she grew  up.

A very special thank you to Dr.Mallory and his wonderful palliative team and the home care nurses of  St.Elizabeth.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough on Thursday June 14th, 2018 from from 1:00-4:00 pm. Words of  remembrance at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or PRHC Palliative Care Unit would be much appreciated.
