Wife of the late Charles Sarginson.

Sister of the late Mary, Alexander, Helen, Edward and Earl. Survived by nieces and nephews.

 

HOOTON, Mildred Mae - Passed away peacefully with family by her side at PRHC on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in her 94th year.

Mildred was the beloved wife of the late Roy Hooton (2001).

Dear sister of Helen, Joan, Evelyn, Don (Gloria) and Phyllis (Ray), sister-in-law to Leila, Anne and Harold. Predeceased by her parents William and Mabel Samis (nee Grant) and siblings Mary, Jean, Doreen, Ed, Ron and Ken. She was the much loved aunt of many nieces and nephews and their families – many of them spent their summer holidays at Uncle Roy and Aunt Mildred's farm in Cavan.

 

Robinson HerbertROBINSON, Herbert F. – Peacefully at Warkworth Nursing Home on Saturday, February 18th, 2017 in his 86th year.

Herbert will be sadly missed by his beloved partner Anne (nee Bonner), as well as her children Don (Mary), Sharon Bennett (Robert), Norman (Lisa), Bill, Gloria Martin and David (Teresa), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He will be fondly remembered by his brother Don (Pam), sisters Lillian (Eugene) and Annie-May Wright and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John and Gladys (nee Little) Robinson and five siblings.

Cherished husband and best friend of Jean Daniels for 52 years. Loving father of Tiffany (Tony Vonsick), Jennifer (Kenny Brooks) and Kelly-Dru Daniels.

Proud Grandfather “Papa” of Ryan, Samantha, Kristina (Mathew Twomey), Paige, Nathan and Papa GG to Sophie, Hayden, Charles and Oliver.

Gerry will also be sadly missed by his sisters Shirley (Wayne Norris) and Carol (Bill Maxwell) as well as many extended family and a host of friends.

 

Caron LindaCARON, Linda Gray - Passed too soon from our lives at PRHC on Friday February 17, 2017 at 70 years.

Linda was known for her gentle, kind nature, love of her family and her great fondness for felines. Lesser known were her quiet artistic talents, intellect and love of books. Linda, with her family had made Lakefield home since 1976 but was raised and attended school (McGill, B.A. '67) in Montreal (Verdun) QC.

Linda will be held forever in the hearts of her daughter, Jennifer (Steve Allen) and granddaughters Wynne and Avery (of Kitchener). Linda is predeceased by her husband Paul (Nov 2015) and father Sam Gray.

Gerry has touched many lives during his life through his many ministries including a machinist at GE; an advisor at London Life, and in 1993 becoming a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Peterborough serving the Parishes of St. Luke’s, Downeyville, Our Lady of the Assumption, Otonabee, St. Peter-In-Chains, Peterborough and St. Anne’s, Peterborough.

Gerry leaves behind his very loving and patient wife Barbara (nee Latchford), his children Robert “Bob”, Michael, Lawrence & Michelle (Hean), Peter and Lisa (Ward), Laura and Marty Oates, and Marlene; his grandchildren Desirae & Lars Lindstrom, Daniel and Christopher, Robert, Katelynn and Breann, Rita, Elizabeth, Joseph, Patrick and Sara as well as his great grandchildren Logan and Haleigh.

Roxanna, devoted wife of the late Richard. Daughter of the late Elma and Frances Johnson of Simcoe, Ontario, and daughter-in-law of the late Elsie Haviland of Brantford, Ontario.

Loving Gramma of Morgan Haviland (Darren), Lisa VanBelleghem, Jeffrey (Trina) VanBelleghem, Dani Steenburgh (Vince), and Brandie Robertson (Byron), and great gramma of Brooke, Henry, Chance, Cohen, Keaton, Greg, and Angelee.

 

Leslie WayneLESLIE, Wayne Arthur – On February 14, 2017 after a valiant and courageous battle fought with dignity, grace and humour, Wayne passed away peacefully at his home in Havelock surrounded by the love of family and dear friends in his 62nd year.

Formerly of Scarborough, and retired from the City of Toronto, he leaves behind his heart-broken wife Carol (Howey) and adored step-son Tyler Smith (Melody).

Son of the late George (Doe) and Anne Paudash. Son in law of Elizabeth and the late Alexander McDonnell. Brother of Geraldine Musgrave, Carol (Frank), Glen (Virg), Garry, Sharon Benstead (Terry), Kevin (Val), and Beverley Sager (Wayne).

Brother in law of Aileen McCalip and Anne Bellanger. Predeceased by Shannon McCalip, Fred Bellanger, Margaret Cowie and Michael. Loved by many nieces, nephews and their families.

Joe was a longtime maintenance and truck driver with National Grocers, Peterborough.

Loved and missed by his wife Debra Watson (nee Baptie) and by his children Joe Watson of Peterborough, Phyllis Hannivan (Don) of Warsaw and Kevin Watson (Nikki) of Mandurah, Australia.

Grandpa is remembered by Tyler and Alyssa Watson, Kirsten Hannivan (Dan), Kallie and Andrew Hannivan, and Finn and Kitty Rose Watson. Dear great grandpa of Jackson.

Husband of the late Doris. Will be missed by nieces Norma (Jeffrey), Mary, Brenda and Fiona and nephews Raymond, Simon & Mark.

Survived by his nieces Kerrilynn, and Terrilynn. Predeceased by his sister Isobel Macneil and niece Sherrylyn.

 

Hogg TonyHOGG, Tony Leigh Vernon - With broken hearts, we said goodbye to our cherished son Tony on February 13th, 2017 at 5pm, in his 29th year.

He went peacefully at home surrounded by his family and beloved dog after a brave fight with Multiple Sclerosis. He is free now and off to the next place without disease and suffering, his beautiful soul touched all who knew him and will surround us forever.

Tony is survived by his loving parents Greg and Cheri, brother Travis and Sarah, his niece Kennedy and nephew Cohen, and his dog Sally. DAVIS-ORMEROD, Katharine Mary 'Kay' - Katharine Mary “Kay” Davis-Ormerod, who was born in Wigan, England on March 26, 1928, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday February 13, 2017.

Kay’s two husbands, Eric Davis and Christopher Ormerod predeceased her.

Before moving from England to Canada in 1956 with her husband, Jack Wilkins, and two young children Susan and Graham, Kay trained and worked as a registered nurse. After settling in Ottawa, Kay dedicated herself to raising her family, which included two more children, Tony and Katharine, and later managed the Day Care at Carleton University. Kay also invested several years as a volunteer counsellor on the local school board.

Former GE employee for 47 years. Successfully operated Haylock Enterprises with Susan for 25 years. Former Scout Leader for 25 years.

Barbara, beloved wife of the late Gordon Moncrief. Loving and devoted mother of David Moncrief and his wife Susan, and Ann Faulkner and her husband Brent. Cherished Grandmother of Brittany and Matthew Moncrief.

Barbara is the last surviving of her five siblings. Dear sister-in-law of Hazel Ball and Shirley Moncrief. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews but particularly Eleanor and Fred Woodland of Uxbridge.
