Karen, loving daughter of the late James Payne and Frances Josephine Cowie, and step-daughter of Wilfred O'Carroll.

Cherished sister of Wanda (Mike Mackay) McGonigle, Barry (Magdelana) Payne, and Craig (Alysha) Payne. Devoted aunt to Mandy McGonigle, Kimberley McGonigle, Madisson Payne, Joshua Payne, and Faith Payne. Great aunt of Grayson Conroy.

 

McKee LoisMcKEE, Lois Jane (Hennessy) – Passed peacefully at Peterborough Retirement Residence with her family at her side, on Friday, July 7, 2017. Lois of Peterborough, formerly of Smith Township, in her 77th year.

Beloved wife of Fred McKee for 58 years. Loving mother of Gerry (Tracy), Jim (Betty), Tom (Katherine), Carol Bolton (Mark), and Glenn (Joan).

Dear Grandma of Jonathan (Becca), Jenna Lloyd (Johnathon), Matt, Adam, Christopher, Amanda, Sarah, Amy, Anna, Shanda (Erin Chambo), and Brandon Dimmer (Sheena Trollope). Proud great grandmother of nine. Daughter of the late Aubrey and Aretta Hennessy.

 

Jacobs TomJACOBS, Thomas Walter Lyle 'Tommy' - (1955 - 2017) - Sadly on Friday, July 7, 2017, Tommy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tom will always be remembered for his big generous heart and his love for cooking, cutting grass and making amazing memories with his family.

Although Tom was a quiet and unassuming man who lived life to the fullest, he left his mark on everyone and everything, whether it was hitting the first home run at the Curve Lake Ball Park, to the famous flying hip check on the rink or golfing at Tamarac, he gave it his all.

Has joined her husband Glenn Brown (June 17, 2013).

Cherished mom of Karen Wilson and husband Don and daughter-in-law Carol (son Wayne, predeceased 1998). Loving grandma to Sean Southorn (Whitney), Justin (Angie), Matthew, Aaron (Becky) and the late Krista and great grandma to Austin and Kayden.

 

WEBB, Tom Cargill – Of Peterborough, passed peacefully away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday, July 7, 2017 at the age of 67.

Tom, loving son of the late Tom and Nan Webb. Loving brother of Bruce (Lucia) Webb, Anne Lambert (the late Gerry), Graham Webb, Alison McLeod (Ken), Kathleen Adams (Barry), and Vivian Bell (David).

Tom will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Edge CoryEDGE, Cory Alexander - Passed away at Toronto General Hospital on Thursday, July 6, 2017 after a long battle with transplant rejection.

Loving son of Lisa and Alan West. Dear brother of Curtis, Ashley, Sarah, Ally, and Sam.

Beloved grandson of Mervin Wadsworth. Cory will be remembered by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cory was known for his infectious smile, love of life and strength. He viewed everyday as an opportunity and lived his life to the fullest.

Anne Waterhouse (nee Napier) was the beloved wife of the late Jack Waterhouse.

Loving mother of Diane Larmour (Ken), Bill (Lynn), and Danny (Judy). She was a loved Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Predeceased by her loving daughter Linda, her mother Alice Napier, and her brother Joe Napier.

 

McCoy IvanMcCOY, Ivan Johnnie - (1940 - 2017) - Passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his wife and children.

Beloved husband of Mary Dewan, (56 years) and wonderful father to Scott, Todd, Nancy (Mike).  Special "Pa" to grandchildren Catherine, Eric, Kyra and Jenna and great grand daughter Grace.

He worked for CP Rail in Peterborough for 8 years and owned and operated McCoy Travel and McCoy Limosine Service in Kingston for 35 years.

Jan will be remembered by the many students, parents and faculty that she worked with over her long teaching career including many years at Warsaw Public School teaching Grade 1.

Jan was predeceased by her husband Joe and her daughter Shelley.  Dear mother of Triscia Carlow (Ray) and loving Nanny of Jack and Kathryn.  Remembered by her son-in-law Ron Foskett and sister-in-law Anne Revoy (Gord).

Bob Brown of Lakefield was born Feb 17, 1922.

Devoted husband of the late Lorraine. Beloved father of Craig (Carol) and Roger (Carol). Dedicated grandfather to Leslie (Dave) and Nadine (Robert). Honored great-grandfather to Connor and Cole.

He was predeceased by his parents Franklin and Francis, and brothers Victor, John, and Herrick. Bob will be missed by his nephew Mike, niece Annette, and cousin Patricia.

 

BARTAK, Otakar 'Ota' - Passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Ota was the beloved husband and best friend of Ann.

He was the proud father to Vlasta (Radek), Maureen (Mike) and Chris (Alyssa) and grandfather to Tina, Riley, Autumn, Kiera and Brooklyn. Survived by his brother Dennis (Shirley) and sister Lida. Ota will be missed by his family and friends.

 

Reeves CarolREEVES, Carol Ann – Sadly, Carol passed away on July 1, 2017 at age 53, with family at her side, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Beloved partner and best friend of Peter Kellar for 36 years. Loving mother of Jason (Kelsey) and Amanda (Cody).

Cherished daughter of Sir Charles Reeves and the late Janet Zoney. Carol will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends.

 

English JimENGLISH, James George 'Jim' - A naturalist and poet by nature, James George English led a long and interesting life. A descendant of canoe builders in Peterborough, Ontario, his love of the natural world began during summers spent at the cottage on Fife’s Bay, Chemong Lake.

He forged a career first in journalism, then public relations and finally working with students at both Queen’s and Trent Universities. Before obtaining a journalism degree from the University of Western Ontario, he served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in the latter years of World War II.

His career in journalism included stints as a reporter for the Toronto Star, as well as city and news editors for both the Peterborough Examiner and three weekly newspapers in the Peace River Country in northern Alberta and British Columbia.
