Weinsheimer IlseWEINSHEIMER, Ilse Inge - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, June 30th, 2017 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre at the age of 92 years.

Beloved wife of the late Hans. Loving mother of Ellen Harmer (Ken Wiseman), Jean Zander (Gordon Moore), Holger Weinsheimer (Jill Antal) and the late Fred Weinsheimer (Ingrid Degeus).

Oma will be sadly missed by Ann Harmer-Stubbington, Tracey Zander (Jeff Baguley), Tonya Zander (Robert Patterson), Bonnie Weinsheimer, Camile Weinsheimer, Dieter Weinsheimer and her great-grandchildren Madison, Evan, Jacob and Lily Bean.

 

Mansfield RubyMANSFIELD, Ruby Eleanor - With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Ruby Mansfield of Indian River, Ontario at the age of 77 years.

Ruby fought a long courageous battle with cancer, but succumbed to it peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on June 29, 2017.

She was predeceased by her husband Ron.

Survived by daughter Lee Peterson (late Terry), son Kent Mansfield (Mary) and son Brad Mansfield (Sharon); grandson Jeremy McMullen (Theresa) and great grandchildren Lily and Dayla; grandson Michael Mansfield (Katherine), grand-daughter Sarah Kalnins (Lenny); and grand-daughter Coral Cormack.

 

Manley AlexMANLEY, Alex Wayne - Passed away peacefully at home June 29th, 2017 in his 76th year after a lengthy illness.

Alex spent his life farming in Otonabee Township and as a mechanic to all who needed his expertise.

Loving husband of Helen for 53 years and father of Wayne and Garry and grandpa of Wade, Alex, Ryanne and Emily. Brother of Sharon Bolton (Bob) and the late Linda Payne (Sid). Son of the late Robert (Bert) and Ada (Tate) Manley.

 

Maskos KarlMASKOS, Karl - (1924 - 2017) - Karl Maskos, 92, retired Electrical Contractor, of Calgary, Alberta, formerly of Peterborough, Ontario and Laskowitz, Germany, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Rockyview Hospital.

Karl is survived by his brother Manfred (Johanna), children Gabrielle, Fred (Anne), Margret (Mike), Gordon and four grandchildren, Jazelin, Chelsea, Katie (Jack), Neil, and nieces and nephews Frank (Inge), Christina, Alexandra and Rebecca.

He was predeceased by his parents Friedrich and Hedwig, sister Christa, his wife and friend Monica.

 

Moir BerniceMOIR, Bernice (née Wiseman) - Eighty-four years of a life well lived, came to a peaceful end on June 29, 2017 for Bernice Moir at her home in Canterbury Gardens, Peterborough, Ontario.

She is survived by her two sons Bryan (Vincenza) and Dennis (Barbara), and four grandchildren: Mackenzie, Harrison, Galen and Olivia.

Born in 1933 to Frederick and Freda Wiseman, Bernice grew up in Dartmouth NS. She went to Dartmouth High and later attended the Maritime Business College. On a warm summer evening at a dance at the Banook Canoe Club, she met the love of her life, Lloyd. This would change the course of her life, forever. Married in 1955, they lived in Dartmouth before moving to Toronto. They spent the next 61 years together.

 

Daniels FredDANIELS, Fredrick Arnold 'Fred' - (August 3, 1931 - June 29, 2017) - Fred passed away quietly in his 86th year at PRHC Palliative Care on Thursday, June 29th, 2017.

Fred was the beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Barter).

Loving son of the late Ira and the late Rosetta (nee Wease) Daniels. Step-son of Vennie Hendley. Dear brother of Luella Hicks (late Ken) of Peterborough and the late Archie Daniels(late Norma).

Charlie, beloved husband and best friend of Alexis (nee Marler). Loving and devoted father of Leeya Wootten (Jason), and Alicia Kunzel (Andersen). Cherished Grandpa to Liam. Loving son of Ernie and Marilyn Raffan and adored son-in-law to Bob and Kay Marler.

Dear brother of Brenda Riel (Perry), Sharon Raffan (Roy), Fraser Raffan, and brother-in-law to Mark and Kathy Marler.

 

Cobourn JimCOBOURN, James 'Jim' Robert - Originally of Orillia, Ontario passed away suddenly Tuesday June, 27 2017 at his son's home in Peterborough, Ontario.

James was hooked on golf. He kept his golf clubs in his truck in case his friends wanted to play a round.

James will be missed by his children; Rob, Beve, Karen, Benny, Karen P., Wendy and Tanya. Jim will also be sadly missed by his six grandchildren, his great-grandchildren and many family and friends; especially Ellamae Prout, and his beloved dog, Dior. Survived by his sisters Anne and Bonnie.

 

McMahon BrendaMcMAHON, Brenda Jean - Brenda died suddenly at St. Joseph’s at Fleming, Peterborough, after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis on Tuesday June 27, 2017 at the age of 65 years.

Loved and missed by her mother Jean Armstrong and her sons Rob of Toronto, Chris (Cheryl) of Peterborough and Mark (Brynn) of Ottawa. Dear grandmother of Brendyn, Regan, Taylor, Dylan, Kaitlyn, Mason and Kenzie.

Lovingly remembered by her brother Dave Hickey (Judi), her sisters Bev Twomey (the late Doug), Cheryl Spratt (the late John), her step-sister Sherrill Flood (Doug Gieni) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father William and her step-brother Glenn Flood (Sue).

 

Lockington ClaraLOCKINGTON, Clara Lillian - After 96 years of a wonderful and engaged life, Clara died at Fairhaven on Tuesday, June 27, 2017.

Clara is predeceased by her parents, Bill and Mary Saunders, and her brothers Gord and Ken Saunders.

The love of her life, Stew, died in 2013, completing what was, for her and her family, a 'marriage for the ages" of 69 years. Their remarkable and loving relationship was a model and constant reminder of the values of family.

Their four children, Bill (Gail), Doug (Barb), Bryan (Bonnie) and Beth (Michael), together with Stew and Clara's 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren (the light of their lives) fondly remember, with admiration, the everlasting relationships and guidance they experienced and shared with their parents and grandparents.

Stiles WalterSTILES, Walter Cecil - Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 81 years of age.

Beloved husband to Olga Stiles (nee-Yoanidis). Dear dad to the late David (Victoria), Richard (Dawn), Darren (Caroline), Susan Masygan (late Jeff) and Ronald St. Jean (Lee-Anne).

Proud grandpa of 10 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. Walter will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends in New Brunswick and Ontario.

 

BOOTH, Walter John - Born January 4th, 1921, passed into eternal rest at Caressant Care in Lindsay, Ontario.  Joining his wife Marie (Kelbrick) on Sunday, June 25th, 2017 in his 97th year.

Distinguished member of the International Order of Foresters and was a valued employee of Canadian General Electric for 47 years. He was an accomplished bowler for the GE Bowling League for over 50 years.

Loving father of Judy, Nancy and Duane. Survived by sisters Jean and Anne, predeceased by sisters Eileen, Helen, Marjorie, brother Norman and his parents John and Ethel Booth (nee Dupree).

Connie was the beloved mother of Curtis McConkey, Ryan McConkey (Samantha Doram), Rodney McConkey Jr. and Christopher McConkey. Loving grandmother of Connor, Kris, Oliver, Ben and Cooper.

Predeceased by her father Alec Birch and mother Joyce (nee. Hagge). Sister of Thomas Birch, Donald Birch and Douglas Birch.

 

Beavis BerniceBEAVIS, Bernice (nee Slater) - Passed away very peacefully at the P.R.H.C. on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Bernice Beavis (Slater) of Lakefield in her 93rd year.

She was raised on a farm in Smith Township and worked for General Electric before marrying Ralph and together they owned Beavis Meat Market. She also was a longtime employee of Trent University. Her greatest love was her family, of whom she was supportive and she was also a wonderful teacher to them.

Beloved wife of the late Ralph Beavis (2016). Loving Mother of Ralph Beavis (Tracey) and Shelley Kocjan (Ed). Much missed Grandma of Troy Beavis (Robyn), Alyssa Banks (Mike), Brock Kocjan (Mandy), Lukas Kocjan (Carolyn) and Great Grandmother of Harvey Banks, Jaxson Kocjan and Clyde Beavis.

 

McNAMARA, Paul Francis - Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Toronto General Hospital, on Saturday, June 24, 2017 in his 67th year.

Longtime boyfriend of Carol Whiteside. Beloved son of the late Joseph and Rosalie McNamara (nee Kelly).

Loving brother of Robert McNamara and his wife Catherine Clysdale. Dear uncle of Katie McNamara and Jackie McNamara. Dearly loved by many cousins.

 

Gordon GarnetGORDON, Garnet William - (77 years) - Passed away peacefully on Friday June 23, 2017 at PRHC after a long battle with COPD. He was also a lung cancer survivor since 1992.

Predeceased by his parents William Gordon and Dolly (McKinley), brother-in-law Stewart, sister Doris, sisters-in-law Dorothy and Joyce and his niece Shelly.

Garnet leaves behind his loving wife Patricia of 35 years. His loving son Roger (Karry) and daughter Kim Abraham (Steve). Grandchildren Jennifer, Julie and Jamie and 4 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his beloved granddaughter Sherry Abraham (2001).
