RUMBALL, Dr. William George - (June 16, 1933 - January 22, 2017) -
A native of Chatham, Ontario, moved to Peterborough with his family, in 1963, after completing his medical education in Toronto. He practiced medicine as an ear, nose and throat specialist and surgeon until his retirement from private practice.
Since then he had remained an active, valued and trusted friend of the Medical Centre, a wise counsel, a clinical mentor, and an example of selfless and dedicated lifelong service to others. He was the longest standing member of the Medical Centre family with a 53-year career focusing the remainder of his work as a vertigo super-specialist, retiring just four months ago.
He was honoured on September 23, 2016 with the naming of The Dr. W.G. Rumball Medical Centre Audiology and Hearing Services.

Suzanne Paluck-Kingdon died January 22, 2017 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre with her loving husband of 40 years Daniel Kingdon by her side.
Born in Darlington, England Suzanne was the daughter of Ann Paluck (nee Richmond, d. 2015) and Joseph Paluck (d. 2013). Suzanne immigrated to Canada in 1964 with her family. Retired in 2010 from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Survived by her two daughters Sophianne Kingdon (Adam Burgess) and Allison Kingdon; and her two grandchildren Esme Burgess and Coen Burgess. Siblings Margaret Fortey (Peter Fortey), Lorraine Potvin (Jean Potvin), Anita Magis (d. 2004)(Andy Magis), Anthony Paluck, Elizabeth Ann (d. KENNEDY, Vincent Leonard 'Vince' 'The Vin-man' - Passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, January 20th, 2017 with Mary (Sweeney), his beloved wife of 51 years, at his side.
He was a wonderful father to his children John (Tracy), Teresa Murray (Russell), Kristeen McGowan (Jim), and Matt (Maria). Loving poppa to his grandchildren, Ashlyn, Regan, Maddy, Harper, Jud, Tessa, Jack and James. Dear brother to Linda DeNoble and Brenda Kennedy. He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence Kennedy and Annie McGarrity.
Vince taught for over 40 years, most of which were spent at St. Anne’s School. His life of 78 years was rich with family and friends.
LIGHTBODY, Robert David 'Bob' - Robert (Bob) Lightbody, known by friends as "Lighty" passed away peacefully at the PRHC on January 20, 2017. At the age of 72, he was still playing hockey when he suffered a stroke.
He was best friend, husband and the love of her life to Margaret (Margie) Lightbody for 48 years and will be truly missed by daughters Deborah (Sandy Keay) and Dr. Tamara Lightbody (Rick Murdock).
He was a supportive grandfather to Adam and Thomas Keay and Ellie and Lucas Murdock.
