Penelope was born December 22, 1947, in Barrie, Ontario. Graduate of Alquonquin College, Ottawa, class of 1968, where she received a degree in journalism.

Penny was a dedicated stay-at-home mother, and was a very active volunteer during her time in Peterborough, most notably at the YMCA. She retired from Osgoode Properties, Ottawa, in September of 2016.

Isabelle will be remembered by many, along with her husband Neil for owning and operating the General Store in Selwyn for 15 years and for her many years as a successful Avon representative. She was a longtime dedicated member of the Women’s Institute and the United Church Women. As a talented artist, she will be missed by many in the Arts community of the area.

A veteran of the R.C.A.F. in WWII, Doug felt honoured to serve on the bench as a Justice of the Peace for the Province of Ontario for forty years, and was a Freemason for over fifty years with West Hill Lodge, Scarborough and Clementi Lodge in Lakefield.
