For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

HART, Joseph Albert - July 17, 1931 to October 12, 2017 - The Hart family is sad to announce the passing of Joe Hart in Barrie, Ontario.

Born in Eriksdale, Manitoba, he relocated to England with his family as an infant and returned to Canada as a young man.

Joe joined the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in 1951, serving with the U.N. forces in Korea, where he was wounded, then transferring to the Canadian Provost Corps in 1953 serving in Canada and with NATO forces in Europe. Barrie became his chosen home.

Joe was predeceased by his beloved wife, Doreen, in 2004, and by his parents, William and Margaret Hart (née Matheson); siblings Christine, Charles, Bertha (Bea), Kenneth, Donald, Norman, James, Milton (Bill), Margaret, Gordon, Harold and Sheila.


ADAMS, Lionel Aubrey - It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lionel Aubrey Adams on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario. 

Lionel is predeceased by his wife Audrey marion (nee Loach). 

He is survived by this daughters Karen (Pentti) and Ingrid (Dave), four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
