Collins AlexCOLLINS, Stephen Alexander - Born in Melenthon Township on Oct.12, 1934 to Alberta (Westecott) and Franklin Collins WW1 veteran. passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

He graduated from Shelburne and Banting Memorial High Schools. He then entered the Humber College apprenticeship program for Funeral Service Education. He graduated in 1956 as the youngest Funeral Director in Toronto.

Between working at Earl Elliot Funeral Home and driving ambulance for East Toronto District, he courted Barbara Isabel Kerr. They were married in 1957.

Alex and Barb returned to Tosorontio Township in 1963 and bought a farm on the 3rd Line. They have four children and seven grandchildren. Laurie (Steven) Brown; Thomas and Angela (Josh) Arnil. Robert (Charlene) Collins; Francis, Tristan and Anna. Nancy (Paul) Taylor; Maggie and Colton. Stephen (pre-deceased 1991).

Although farming was his full time occupation, milking holsteins, raising beef and pork, he found time to support his community and bring much laughter to his friends and family.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the Drury Funeral Centre, Alliston, ON. Service time to be announced.
