Gambell BillGAMBELL, William 'Bill' Samuel - July 10, 1929 – Feb 9, 2017 - With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bill Gambell at Stevenson Memorial Hospital in Alliston, ON.

He was a loving husband to Louise, devoted father to Glen (Shelley), Alan (Lisa), and Linda (Al), and proud “Poppa” of Aidan.

He was a caring brother to Ron, Ken, and Carol, pre-deceased by brothers Bruce and Stan, and cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Bill will also be missed by step-daughter Leeanne as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren from his extended family.

Bill became a licensed class “C” mechanic and established Vaughan Auto Electric in Concord, ON in 1964. The business was expanded to a larger industrial rental site in 1973. He retired in 1992.

Upon retirement Bill and Louise took to the road to experience the RV lifestyle, and took to the waterways in their houseboat.

Bill loved family gatherings, big and small, was an avid Blue Jays fan, and enjoyed puttering around his house.

Bill was humble, yet strong willed to the end. It’s likely that his kindness, generosity, and sense of humour will be remembered by many.

Visitation will be held at Drury Funeral Centre, Alliston on Monday February 13, 2017 from 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday February 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Good Shepherd Food Bank of Alliston, ON or a charity of your choice in dad’s honour.
