Hinton MargHINTON, Margaret Janet - At age 76, of Alliston, passed away on March 7, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Margaret was born in Rugby, England to Philip and Constance West on November 14, 1941. Margaret married her teenage sweet heart Norman Hinton in Rugby, England on November 18, 1961.

They were happily married for 56 years, and raised two children Sally and Nicholas.

Margaret supported her husband and the family thru his 16 year Royal Airforce career.

Margaret and the family emigrated to Canada in July of 1985 fulfilling Norman and her dream. Margaret started her working life nursing in Rugby England and, prior to retirement in 2006, Margaret worked for 10 plus years as the Office Manager for Dr. Jutra’s dental practice in Bolton, Ontario.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Constance West, and her brothers Brian West and Tony West.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband Norman Hinton, her daughter Sally Hinton, her son and his wife Nicholas and Dianne Hinton, her brother Philip West and his family, and her treasured grandchildren Matthew and Emma Hinton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on March 18th at the W J Thomas Funeral Home, Alliston. Margret has requested that no flowers be purchased but donations can be made in her name to the Wound Warriors of Canada.
