Atkinson JohnATKINSON, John T. - Passed away peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior at OSMH on Sunday April 2, 2017 in his 71st year after a short but courageous battle with cancer, he was surrounded by his family.

John (Big John) is survived by his wife Sandy (Savas), His children Tracie(Dean), John Jr.(Kathleen), His Grandchildren Emma, Jack and Marley, Sister Lea Luxton (Al)of Timmins as well many more Brothers and Sisters in Law.

John is predeceased by his twin daughters Alma and Pearl, His parents Jack and Alma and his Brother Dane.

Big John played Football for Wake Forest University, loved coaching the Park Street Football team as well teaching students in the CADS program at the Heights to ski.

Dad will be missed but his legacy of giving will live on for generations to come.

Following cremation, visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, Orillia on Thursday, April 6th from 3 - 7 P.M. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 7th at First Baptist Church, 265 Coldwater Rd. W., Orillia at 2 P.M.

If desired, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Association of Disabled Skiers or the Orillia Secondary School Football would be gratefully appreciated.
