Murray HarpleyMURRAY, Douglas Harpley Murray - August 15, 1926 - April 5,  2017 - Born in Toronto Doug started his career after the war as a reporter and later moved on to thirty years as an executive with MacLaren Advertising, receiving an Honorary Degree from the University of Toronto working on the General Motors account.

He retired to his home at the Blue Mountains where he continued to follow his life long passion for flying. Doug was a founding member of the Canadian Aerobatic Association of Canada participating in many airshows and competitions and last flew the Tiger Moth based in Edenvale Airport.

He was also an avid sailor, sailing many years in Toronto and the Caribbean.

Doug will be dearly missed by his wife Dorit, his sons Angus and Robin, his dear brother and sister in law, Ian and Teddy Murray, and his stepchildren Britt, Kai, his grandchildren Graeme, Kenan, Robin, David and newest great-grandson Charles.

A celebration of life will be held early in the summer.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
