For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Ketch JeanKETCH, Doris “Jean” - Passed away at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in her 79th year.

Jean was the beloved wife of the late Melvo Ketch.

Loving mother of Lorraine, Dale (Debbie), Brian, Gwen Stead (the late Gregory), James and the late Norine Shortt.

Cherished grandmother of Samuel, Stephanie, Kathy Taylor (Chris), Lynn-Marie, Ann, Amy, and Alice.

Great grandmother of William, Hudson, Clara, and Abby.

Predeceased by her grandchildren Robert and Carrie-Anne.

Also survived by her sister Lois Young.

Friends may join the family on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 6-9pm with a Legion Ladies Auxiliary Service to be held at 6:45 at Reynolds Funeral Home where the funeral will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, February 14 at 11:00am.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion Bracebridge Branch, Ladies Auxiliary.
