We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support SimcoeObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please contact us !

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.

We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

McGibbon AudreyMCGIBBON, Audrey - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Audrey McGibbon on Feb 9, 2018 in her 91st year.

She has been reunited with her love, the late Finlay McGibbon.

Cherished mother of Barb (late Bill), Don (Jeanne), Ken (Cheryl), Jack, Tanya (Brett) and Dan.

She shared her love of laughter with her grandchildren, Christa, Matt, Alyssa, Jonathon, Travis, Ashley, Brandon and Sarah and her spirit is carried on by her 11 great-grandchildren.

Survived by her sister Norma Gibbins and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by son Billy, infant daughter Patricia and daughter-in-law Keitha.

Born in Montreal in 1927, Audrey married the love of her life, "Mac", on May 12, 1945. In a little house in Barrie they raised their family of 7 and their 93 foster children. Her family is going to miss her spirited nature, her wonderful laugh and her sharp wit.

Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Barrie on Friday February 16, from 3pm until the time we celebrate her life in the chapel at 4pm. A reception will follow.

If desired, donations in Audrey’s memory may be made to the RVH Foundation or a charity of your choice and are greatly appreciated.
