For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Robinson SonnyROBINSON, Clarence Edward John ‘Sonny’ - Passed away peacefully on Sunday June 10, 2018 at Sunset Manor at the age of 84 years.

Sonny, loving husband of Marlene (nee Forbes).

Proud father of Daryl Robinson and Joanna Robinson and her husband Kit Redding.

Cherished grandfather of Holly.

Born in Collingwood to parents the late John and Edna Robinson, Sonny is survived by his brothers Doug, Don (Cathy), Dennis (Shirley) and Ron and his sister Kathaleen (the late James Dance); predeceased by his sister Marie (the late Orval) Risebrough.

He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Sonny was inducted into the Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame in 1996 and will be remembered for his hockey career and contributions to the sport in Collingwood; it was his passion.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 14, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. at Fawcett Funeral Homes, Collingwood. Funeral service will be at the Church of Christ, 494 Tenth St. Collingwood, ON at 1 p.m. on Friday June 15, 2018. Interment at Collingwood, ON.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
