MCCLELLAN, Thomas Kenneth 'Ken' - At age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2017.
Ken was the owner and operator, along with his wife Joyce, of McClellan’s Sand and Gravel for over 50 years and lived all of his life in Kilworthy.
Ken is remembered and loved by his wife Joyce, his children Stephen (Kris Webster), Susanne (David Cadeaux), Scott (Kim Carter), and Cheryl, and his grandchildren Thomas, Alexandra, Sophie, Zoe, and William.
Throughout his life he was a member of the Golden Rule Lodge in Gravenhurst (No. 409).

DIXON, John - September 16, 1932 - April 6, 2017 - John was born in South Yorkshire, England. After leaving school at 15, he joined Barclays Bank, working in Barnsley, Sheffield and Derby.
In 1958 he married his best friend Sheila and had 2 children, Michael and Lesley.
In 1968 the family emigrated to Canada, where he joined the Toronto Dominion Bank. After working in Head Office, his 1st Branch as Manager was at Browns Line and Horner, Etobicoke, then a move to Bathurst and Glencairn, followed by Dixie and Orenda, making many friends along the way.

TORRIE, Glen David - At home, with compassion, peace, and a joyful sorrow, Glen reached his final destination on Wednesday, April 5, 2017.
Glen's journey began on October 28, 1939 in Durham, Ontario, where his arrival was welcomed by parents John and Dorothy. His early years were on the farm with siblings Harold, Phyllis, Leone, Arthur and Brian.
As a young man he journeyed to Orillia, to apprentice as a plumber with Simcoe Mechanical Contracting. Orillia is also where Glen met his future wife, Gwen (Harman). When Gwen's own journey took her to Ecuador as a teacher, Glen followed his heart all the way to the rainforests to marry her in 1973.

MURRAY, Douglas Harpley Murray - August 15, 1926 - April 5, 2017 - Born in Toronto Doug started his career after the war as a reporter and later moved on to thirty years as an executive with MacLaren Advertising, receiving an Honorary Degree from the University of Toronto working on the General Motors account.
He retired to his home at the Blue Mountains where he continued to follow his life long passion for flying. Doug was a founding member of the Canadian Aerobatic Association of Canada participating in many airshows and competitions and last flew the Tiger Moth based in Edenvale Airport.
He was also an avid sailor, sailing many years in Toronto and the Caribbean.
