Pimentel EdPIMENTEL, Edmund - He was born the youngest of seven boys on August 12, 1947 in the village of Pilar, Bretanha in the Açores of Portugal.

His family made the journey to Canada in 1963 and settled in the west end of Toronto. His outgoing nature and love of music naturally brought together a close knit community of friends and family. 

Edmund is survived by his beloved wife Carmen, three daughters Jennifer (Jonathan) Valerie (Greg) and Stephanie and adoring grandchildren Leila and Nathan.

Brother Peter (Olga) Pimentel, sister-in-law Gloria (Manuel).

Paul Harbridge son of Elva Harbridge (nee Lance) and the late Lyle Harbridge.

Much loved father to Julie Harbridge of Kilworthy.

Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife Linda Mae Harbridge (nee Bouchard) in 2014 and by his son Wesley Harbridge in 2008.


STACEY, Isabel - Passed away at the Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Orillia on Tuesday October 31, 2017 at the age of 72, of Uptergrove and formerly of Burks Falls and Medonte. 

A loving wife, sister and daughter.  A dear friend to many.

Nora led a very complete life, remaining actively involved with charities and groups such as CARP, Act II Studio and her Scottish dancing.


Dick MilneDICK, Dr. Thomas Milne Dick - Passed away with peace in Midland Ontario, on October 31, 2017, with family around him. 

Milne was born at 58 Queen’s Crescent, New Stevenston, Scotland, the eldest son of John Dick and Mary Walker.  He was an older brother to Iain Dick.   

He came to Canada in June of 1953, and earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University at Kingston. Milne was a devoted civil servant with the Federal Government for most of his career, and a beloved manager. He was the proud recipient of a confederation medal in 1992 in recognition of significant contribution to compatriots, community, and to Canada.  


MIKES SHERIDAN, Rita - After a well loved and well lived life, we sadly announce the very peaceful passing of Mom. In her 102nd year on October 31, 2017 at Mill Creek, Barrie.

Loving Mother of Michael (Diane) and Peter (Maggie) and "Nanna" to many.

During war time Mom assembled aircraft and later was a voice on CFOR radio.

She also was employed for many years at Merrill Lynch in Toronto.


PERIPOLI, Jeremy A. - Formally of Barrie, ON., Jeremy A.K.A. "Tree", 41 years passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 when his car left the roadway and came in contact with a tree.

The most handsome of three boys, a devoted father, an amazing life-partner and life of the party who lived each day to it's fullest, he "lived life on his terms".

Jeremy was a dedicated and hard worker at Paramount Construction for the past 12 years and played hard with his closest friends.


McCARTER, Lorna June - Passed away peacefully at Lakeland Long Term Care, on October 31, 2017. Age 96 years.

Predeceased by her husband William in 1999, and by her son Brad in 2001.

Lorna was a wonderful artist, who produced many beautiful paintings. She loved to knit and crochet, and made many baby outfits for family, friends, and as donations to the hospital. Lorna also crocheted Afghan blankets for the homeless. She loved all animals, big and small. Lorna was a loving and generous person.
