RODRICKS, Anthony Christopher - September 6, 1935 – April 18, 2021
It is with a very heavy heart that we share with you the passing of Anthony (Tony/Buda/Papa) Rodricks.
Anthony passed away peacefully, at the Milton District Hospital, at the age of 85.
He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his beloved wife, Wilhelmina Rodricks (née Cordeiro); his children, Antonio, Winston (Jackie) and Karen (Mike); grandchildren, Michelle (Paul), Laura, Christopher, Sarah, Mark, and Jenna; and great-grandchild, Eli.
Anthony was born to the late Charles Rodricks and Esmeralda Rodricks (née Fernandez) in Karachi, British India (now Pakistan).

DINETZ, Betty - Betty Dinetz passed away peacefully at home, on April 18, 2021.
Betty was the devoted wife of the late Sidney Dinetz, and beloved mother and mother-in-law of their children, Gail and Richard Daigle, Howard and Cathy Dinetz, and Marilyn Dinetz.
She was blessed to have been grandmother to Jason and Jaclyn Dinetz, Sarah Lauglin, Cheryl Hogan, Rachel Daigle, and Erik and Alex Maxim; as well as great-grandmother to Eli and Emi Lauglin, Madelyne and Macy Hogan, and Xabriel Richardson Dinetz.

SHILLETTO-HINTON, Catherine Anne - After suffering two strokes, our darling “Didi” died peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on Sunday, April 18, 2021, 12 days before her 60th birthday.
She was the beloved mother of Katie who was with her until the very end.
She was the only daughter of Derek and Sonia Shilletto and the much loved sister of Nick.

Shirley, at the age of 87 years, beloved wife of the late Roy Butler (1977) and Robert Walker (2011).
Loving mother of Cathy Butler (deceased 1958), Wendy and her husband Rick Sant.
Proud grandmother of Corinna and her fiancé Anthony, Eric and Luca.
Shirley worked for Armstrong Brothers, Brampton (Standard Bred Horse Division) for over 19 years.

Zeljko lived a full and happy life of 66 years.

STEWART, Brian Raymond - Peacefully, at Ross Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at the age of 76.
Beloved husband of Charlotte.
Loving father of Brian (Adriana) and the late Rob (Maria).
Dear brother of Bobby (Donna), Roger (Irene), the late Sandra, the late Charlie, the late Barry and the late Donny.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Brian will be remembered for his love of the pipe band, most recently Black Water.
He enjoyed hockey, playing with the Old Timers Hockey League and cheering for the Leafs.

FISHER, Ruth Edith (Fry) - Sang her last song on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
A city girl through and through, she grew up on Brock Avenue with her parents Catherine (nee Lee) and John Lyttle Fry and sisters Queenie, Kathleen, Eilleen and Lyla (Mike). The sisters were known as the “Fry Girls”.
She grew up in the depression with very little but never noticed as they were truly loved and always the best dressed due to their mother’s seamstress skills.
Ruth regaled us with stories and escapades of her youth. She worked hard, picking up lifelong friends along the way.

She was the baby of seven siblings and was born and raised in the Philippines.
Loving daughter to Alfredo and Leonila Sanchez
She came to Canada in 1990 to start a new life and join her sister Merle and her family.
Helen leaves behind her other sister Marietta and her brother Zosimo, along with many nieces and nephews.

MAKIN, Dorothy - On Sunday, April 18, 2021, Dorothy Jane Makin passed away peacefully, at age 90, with family by her side.
Dorothy was born on September 28, 1930 in Bracebridge, ON, to Sarah (Ferris) and Lorne Davidson.
She was a graduate from Oshawa General Hospital's School of Nursing, class of '52, where she met her lifelong friends, June Cooke and the late Marion Hawkins.
While in training, she met her loving husband of 65 years, Ronald Makin, on a blind date.
They married in 1955 and together, Ron and "Dort" raised their children Peter (Susan Orth), Edward "Ted" (predeceased), and Nancey (Luc Lambert).

HOLMES, Dr. Howard Ian - Peacefully passed away on Sunday April 18, 2021 surrounded by his loving children and family.
Dr. Holmes' professional career and personal life paint the portrait of an exceptional man. As a child of polio, Dr. Holmes was impressively taught in the face of adversity.
Despite his ailment, Dr. Holmes pushed through the inconveniences of his disability and went on to become one of Canada’s most distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
He laid the foundation and groundwork for the study of oral dentistry at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry and helped to advance the careers of young dentists, many of which credit his pedagogy, wisdom, and great practical value as a big part of their success.

DETHERIDGE, Marnie (nee McWILLIAMS) - On April 18, 2021, at the Stratford Hospital in Ontario, Marnie passed away peacefully.
Predeceased by the love of her life Cam, her brother Jim and her parents Beatrice and Tom.
Left to miss her are her brothers Bob (Janice), nieces Marci and Meghan, brother Bill, nephew Kirk (Joce, Caitlyn and Hailey) and niece Sandra (Damian and Dannalyn).
As well, she leaves behind her precious fur babies Nikki and Jamie.
Marnie's loss is also mourned by her many friends.
Special thanks to her dear friends Patty, Janne and Maralee for supporting Marnie and us as we have journeyed through this difficult time.

It is with great sadness, but many fond memories, we share the loss of Helen (Helena Frances) Dorling (nee Bullard), our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who passed peacefully on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at the age of 94.
Dearly loved and missed by her children Michael and Susan (Gary), granddaughter Jamey and great-granddaughter Sophia, she was predeceased by her beloved husband Stan, with whom she shared 58 wonderful years.

FLEMING, Lidia Linda (nee ALEINIK) - To our sadness, Linda passed away, on April 18, 2021, at Michael Garron Hospital, after a long illness.
She was a dear sister and sister-in-law and a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Before illness overtook her, Linda had a vibrant personality and tried to enjoy life to the fullest.
She was a physiotherapist for 30 years who treated her patients with compassion and professionalism and worked in hospitals in Edmonton, Vancouver, London (England) and Toronto.
Linda had a passion for cooking and enjoyed making dinners that were comparable to fine dining cuisine for family and close friends.

ROBERTSON, William Clyde - Passed away peacefully, on April 18, 2021, at his home, surrounded by family, in his 89th year. Clyde was the oldest of 3 sons of William James Robertson and Mary Evva Grout.
He was predeceased by his brother Bruce and is survived by his brother Ross.
Clyde was the loving husband of Mary Louise Peart for 64 years and the father of 6 children, Timothy (Beth) who passed away in 2016 after a long battle with ALS, Mark (Dawn), Paul, Patrick (Michelle), Joanne (Jim) and Christian (Nyla).
He is survived by 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
As youngsters, his sons Paul and Pat would often caddie for him. Clyde had a great passion for travel.
He and Mary Lou, sometimes accompanied by friends, travelled extensively throughout Europe and had a fondness for cruising.

Norm was a loving husband to his wife of 37 years Helen, and father to Norman, Rita, Debbie, Valery, and Colleen, and stepfather to Kim, Kellie, Ian (deceased), and Adele.

SAWKA, Mykola (Mike) - September 26, 1924 – April 18, 2021
Mykola passed away peacefully, at the age of 96 years, in Toronto, Canada.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mykola and Maria, his brother Hrenyo, and sisters Anna and Kasha.
Mykola is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janina; his daughter, Dr. Anna Sawka, husband Steven Bosnick and grandchild Christina Bosnick; son, Dr. Andrew Sawka, wife Dr. Judy Chen, and grandchildren Justine, Claudia, and Andie Sawka; nephew Petro Sawka and his family in Siberia; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families in Ukraine.
Mykola was born in Poruby, Ukranine.
He was a forced laborer in Germany during World War II.
