HENRY, Patricia - Passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Pat lived a life full of love, compassion and grace.
She leaves her 5 children: Robin (Barbara), Wendy LeDoux, (Ken, deceased) Pam Perras (Paul), Beth Christopher (Blair) Laura-Jane Hanson (Bill); 8 adored grandchildren and their spouses; and 5 great-grandchildren.
We all feel eternally grateful for having her for almost 94 years.

MORRIS, Richard - Peacefully at Southlake hospital with his soul mate by his side on February 16, 2021 at the age of 77.
Life partner and soul mate of Pat.
Beloved father of Kevin, Karrie, and Kristopher (Laura).

POTTEN, Harold - Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on February 16, 2021 at the age of 77 after a short -lived battle with Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.
He leaves behind the three most important people in his life- Janet, his wife of 51 years and his daughters, Michelle and Diana.
Harold was an Ontario Land Surveyor and Cartographer, working more then 30 years at the City of North York.
He was also an amateur musician and a skilled carpenter.

HARNEY, Diana Maria (OHLSSON) - We are sad to report the passing of Diana Maria (Ohlsson) Harney on February 16, 2021, from complications of Lewy body dementia.
Diana was an avid traveller, an excellent cook, a tai chi instructor and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, as comfortable in an academic dinner party as a backyard barbeque.
She was born on September 9, 1938 in New York, attended Endicott College, and married Robert F. Harney in 1960.
They moved from Berkeley, California to Toronto in 1964, where Bob became a Professor in the History Department at the University of Toronto and the founder of the Multicultural History Society of Ontario, and where they raised their four children, Steve, Kate, Nick and Betsy.

ANGELUCCI, Franco - God called Franco back home February 16, 2021 at the age of 63.
He will never be forgotten by his adoring wife Maria.
Loving father to Cristina (Mark Spizzirri), Marco (Regina Saravo), and Natasha (Jonathan Colangelo).
Cherished Nonno to Franco, Domenic, Elena, Giovanni, and Valentina.
Franco was the loving son of Ermanno and Domenica, and son-in-law of Sestino and Giovanna DiDonato.

YAMASAKI, Daniel Yoshiaki - June 20, 1922 – February 16, 2021 - It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Daniel Yoshiaki Yamasaki in his 98th year.
He is survived by his wife Michiko, children Ken and Linda, and grandchildren Felicia, Lauren, Jaclyn, Lian, Emily, and Brandon.
Daniel loved listening to music, watching sumo, playing the harmonica and collecting stamps.
He effortlessly brought a smile to people’s face and selflessly cared for others.

KNIGHT, Larry Archibald - On Tuesday, February 16, 2021, Larry Knight, loving son, nephew, father, grandfather, friend, and partner passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with lung cancer at the age of 71.
Larry Knight was born on August 31 1949 in Toronto Ontario.
He attended Centennial College for Correctional Service and started a career at OCI in Brampton.
Over the years he was a man of many talents working in different industries, being a leader, teacher, and positive influence on every life he touched.

PIRES, Alaric Clement - Passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of ninety-three on February 16, 2021.
He was born on July 20, 1927, in Tanga, Tanzania to Angelo and Esmeralda Pires. He was the sixth of their eight children, predeceased by his parents and siblings: Anslem (Flora), Arthur (Marie), Alex (Sophie), Alfred (Olga), Adolph (Catherine), and Rita (Bonny de Silva).
He is survived by his sister Bella (late Joe De Souza). Alaric is also survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Rosalind (nee D’Souza), who he married in 1954 after being introduced by his Godmother in Bandra, Mumbai.

GRANT, Violet Margery (nee COLES) - Violet Grant would hate this obituary, as she always avoided the spotlight.
But sadly, she is no longer here to protest, and we are free to shine a light on a life well lived.
She 'retired' at age 65, was declared indispensable, brought back and continued to make her way downtown, impeccably dressed and coiffed, well into her 80s (via public transit as she never learned to drive).
Her dedication to the CBC was legendary, but it was dwarfed by her dedication and love for her family.

PATEL, Chimanbhai S. - May 5, 1937 - February 16, 2021
It is with deep regret that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Chimanbhai Patel, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
In the end, Lewy Body Dementia took over his body, however his spirit and soul always remained true and strong.
Chimanbhai was born and brought up in Napad, Gujarat, India by his parents, Shanabhai and Deevaliben, along with his four siblings.
He started his career at Amul Dairy in Gujarat, as a Dairy Technician, which afforded him the opportunity to travel abroad to Germany and further his expertise in the industry.

PFENDT, Frank Pfendt, P.Eng, - Husband, father, son, brother, friend, died February 16, 2021 after receiving a diagnosis in mid-December of aggressive metastatic cancer.
An ordinary man would be devastated, but as an adventurer and traveller at heart, he approached this news as he would approach any problem, with curiosity, respect, and thoughtfulness of others, in a purposeful and methodical way.
He met and gathered perspectives from many people, from all participants (doctors to housekeeping) at the four hospitals involved in his care, his roommates in various stages of their illnesses, and by telephone with his dear friends who he likened to family.

TALOTTA, Vince - "All Men Must Die But Some Never Live – I Choose to Live"
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our beloved "superhero" Vince (Vinnie) Talotta - Father, Husband, Brother, Son, Friend, Awesome Human.
Vince, 53, passed away on February 16, 2021 at the Toronto Western Hospital due to complications from cancer.
He was a proud family man who fought hard to be with his loving son, Mikele and beloved wife, Maithily Panchalingam. Beloved son of Maria and the late Gregorio Talotta and "Ma" Brenda Ameen.
Vince will be missed by his siblings, Cathy, Enza (John), Frank (Jen), Api Panchalingam (Michael) and Purushoth (Andrea).

In her 99th year, passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
She was predeceased by her husband William Leo Harrison in 1990.
She leaves behind her children, Greg (Sandy), Rosemary McLaughlin (Dave), and John.
Helen was the proud grandmother of Kate (Dan) and Andrew and the great grandmother of Liv Madeleine Moscato.

SMILEY, Eric Lorne - At the Hamilton General Hospital on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 4:35 p.m., surrounded by the love of his family, Eric passed away as the result of an accidental drug overdose.
He was predeceased by his father Brian Smiley and will be sadly missed by his mother Susan Smiley and his step-father Brian Sampson, his sister Laura Smiley, his son Jonathan Butler-Smiley, his fiancee Melaine Butler, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

GARTLAND, Birdie Elizabeth Jane (nee VAREY) - 1934- 2021 Sadly we announce that Birdie left us peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Sunnybrook Hospital.
Birdie was born in Little Current, Manitoulan Island along with her older brother Duncan (Velma) and younger sister Ethel (Vic), to William and Agnes Varey.
They relocated to Toronto in Birdie's early teens.

It is with a broken heart, I sorrowfully announce the passing of my loving, caring and beautiful wife for over 37 years, Joanna Mary Piccolo (nee Fercik).
Joanna valiantly and bravely fought cancer for over 12 years.
She was always very optimistic, never complained and was a true fighter.
We shared a beautiful and wonderful life together travelling and enjoying each and every day.
People were drawn to Joanna and her laughter and warm smile could brighten up any room!

COOK, Nancy Elizabeth (COUILLARD) - September 28, 1924 - February 16, 2021
Passed away peacefully, at Lakeshore Lodge LTC, at the age of 96.
She will be fondly remembered by her son David, his wife Margaret, her six grandchildren Kathleen (Peter), Bruce (Kim), Matthew (Jenna), Rachel (Jim), Robin (Adam), Erica (Mitchell), and her eight great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her loving husband John (2008).
Tragically predeceased by her son Bruce (1980), and her daughter Judy (2012).
Also predeceased by her brothers Jack Couillard and Paul Couillard.
Nancy had a good life working with the Peel School Board, raising her children, and enjoying her various dogs.

van den DRIESEN, Eric Leonard - (October 8, 1924 - February 15, 2021) - It is with great sadness, but with assurance of a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Len van den Driesen.
He was predeceased by his first wife Mary, and is survived by his wife Eduarda.
He will be missed by his only daughter, Dianna (David), his granddaughters, who lovingly called him “Danda”, Denise (Todd) and Jennifer. Great-Grandfather to Maddie, Abby, Owen and Andrew.
He also will be missed by Eduarda’s children Acurcio, Rosa (Peter), Isabel and their children, Julie, Amy, Jason, Danielle (and daughter Rachel), Anne-Marie, and Katelin.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Paul Peter Van Schalkwyk announces his sudden passing on Sunday, February 14th, 2021.
Beloved father of Sean Van Schalkwyk and son of the late Gae Van Schalkwyk (nee Evans) and Peter Van Schalkwyk,
Paul was born in Johannesberg, South Africa on August 18th, 1970. Paul served in the South African Armed Forces from 1988-1990. He made Canada his home in 1990.

WHEELER, Margaret 'Anne' (Dales) - It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Anne Wheeler on Monday February 15th, 2021 at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario. Anne was in her 78th year.
Anne was a dedicated wife of Barry Wheeler for 43 years, a loving Mother of Blaine Patterson and his wife Jayne, and a devoted Grandmother to her 3 Grandchildren Breanna, Michaella and David. She will be tremendously missed by all her family including her Grand Dog Reilly.
Anne was born in Orangeville on September 17th, 1943, but grew up in Dundalk, Ontario with her parents Fred (Pat) Dales and Norma Dales who operated Dales Dairy where Anne did a lot of the door-to-door milk and Cheese deliveries. Later on, her parents opened the Dundalk Jewellery Store.

PLESTID, Joan Mary (nee Steele) - It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of Joan Plestid. Joan passed away at home, Monday February 15, 2021, with her children at her side, in her 87th year.
Joan was beloved by everyone whose life she touched. More than a wife to Ernie she was a true partner in life, and even in business. She worked, volunteered, raised 7 children, and still found time to help many others.
When she and Ernie lost their eldest daughter Deina to cancer, it brought them closer together. They turned to each other and their faith to find strength. And when she and the family lost her dear granddaughter, Rebecca, she was able to be a source of strength.
