PETERSON, Robert Byron - (July 9, 1937 - January 21, 2021)
Former Chairman and CEO of Imperial Oil, passed away peacefully in Aurora, ON, on the morning of Thursday, January 21, 2021, in his 84th year.
He was the husband to the love of his life, his beloved wife Yvonne, and devoted children Daniel (Dan) and daughter-in-law Jane Peterson, and son Thomas (Tom) and daughter-in-law Colleen Peterson.
A much-loved and admired grandfather to Rebecca, Robert, Nicolas, Riley, Matthew and Joshua, Robert derived joy in emphasizing education, while watching them pursue their dreams.

CONNOLLY, Bro David, OFM, CAP - (August 2, 1947 - January 21, 2021)
With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our brother, at St. Joseph Hospice, London, ON, Thursday evening, January 21, 2021, after a lengthy illness with cancer.
Bro David was predeceased by his parents, Gerard and Frances (Hamlyn) Connolly, his sister Paula and his brother John Paul.
He is survived by his brother James Connolly, brother in law, Dave Fairman and sister in law, Mary Theresa Connolly as well as aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and many cousins.
David first encountered the Capuchins as a young Grade 10 student attending their Mount Alverno Minor Seminary where he came from his hometown of Lindsay, ON. On 12 August, 1965 David was invested into the Capuchin Postulancy program and on August 10, 1973 made his Solemn Profession as a Capuchin Friar and took the name “Brendan."

LEUNG, Dr. Franklin Kam Chuen - (October 6, 1928 - January 21, 2021) - Dr. Leung Franklin Kam Chuen passed away peacefully in his sleep at McNicoll Manor Retirement Home, Scarborough, on Thursday January 21, 2021.
Franklin was a beloved patriarch to his family.
Born October 6, 1928, in Hong Kong as the third of five sons of Leung Shiu Tong and Leung Ho Chan, Franklin came to Canada as the first of his family to attend university at the University of British Columbia, where he met his beloved wife and ballroom dance partner, Josephine and moved to Montreal, where Franklin obtained an M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from McGill University.
Having devoted his career to the approval of human prescription drugs in Canada with the federal government’s Bureau of Human Drugs, it is beyond cruel that Franklin tested positive for COVID-19 mere hours before he was scheduled to receive his first dose of the vaccine.

McGEEIN, Sylvia Marie 'Sibby' (nee Aziz) - Peacefully in her 87th year of life, Sylvia passed away at Bradford Valley Care Community in Bradford, Ontario on January 21, 2021.
Affectionately known as “Sibby," Sylvia was a wonderful wife to the late Donald. L. McGeein (1930-1996), and is survived by her children and will be dearly missed by Nancy MacLachlan, Patti and Paul Dineen and grandchildren Josie and Lauren MacLachlan, Matthew, Hannah and Meagan Dineen.

PIRIE, Joan Lillian (nee Tonkin) - (May 29, 1931 – January 21, 2021)
After living a wonderful life of 90 years, Joan passed away peacefully at home on her own terms with her family by her side.
Life is a Tapestry of many people, experiences, events and memories, and during Joan’s 90 years she wove a beautiful tapestry living in the best country, Canada, and at the best time.
Joan was and felt adored by her 5 children, Morgan (Mary), Chris, Lynne, Greg and Heather. She was a devoted and much loved Grandma to 11 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

DOUCETTE, Richard F. - (May 21, 1933 – January 20, 2021)
It is with broken hearts we sadly share the unexpected passing of our dad, Richard, after a very brief illness at Credit Valley Hospital on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 surrounded by his daughters.
He is now reunited with his loving wife, Pam (1991).
Richard is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughters Wendy (Brad), Kim (John) and Cathy (Nick). He was the adoring Namps to his grandchildren Tanya, Matt (Amber), Rick, Melissa (Ryan), Tabatha, Kati and Jordan; and 10 great-grandchildren.

CHENETTE, Willa Elaine (Irwin) - Elaine (Irwin) Chenette, born February 21, 1929, passed peacefully at Southlake Village Longterm Care Facility, Newmarket on January 20, 2021, in her 92nd year.
Willa was the only child of Cleve and Hazel Irwin of Rosemont, Ontario where she was raised on her parents' family farm. She had many aunts, uncles and cousins that were an important part of her childhood. She attended Bantom Memorial High School in Alliston, Ontario and developed to become a fun-loving, strong, independent woman.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Gerry Chenette (1994), who she met when she left the farm to work and live in Toronto. He was the love of her life.
Willa is survived by her children Joan (Guy) Burgess, Marie (Bruce) Perrier, Richard (Kathleen) and Peter (Karen).

Samuel was a kind and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather. Sam will always be remembered for his strength, wit, generosity of spirit, humour and dependability. DE MAGALHAES, Avelino Dias Portela - On January 21, 2021, Avelino passed away surrounded by the family he so loved.
Avelino was born in Barreiros, Amares, Portugal on March 5, 1935. He was a fun-loving and mischievous gentleman and often regaled us with tales of his pranks. He immigrated to Pau, France when he was only 22 years old, after completing military service.
He married his wife, Celeste on September 8, 1962. Avelino and Celeste shared a very happy life together, moving to Canada in 1968, along with their two children, Jorge and Paula.

Cameron had been struggling with a blood disease similar to Leukemia, but a little different.
