D'MELLO, Joaquim - (November 16, 1933 - January 9, 2021) -
Joaquim D’Mello, the youngest of five children, was born to Alexander and Beatrice (nee Nazareth) D’Mello, on November 16th, 1933.
Raised in a deeply devoted Roman Catholic family, he joined the Altar Boys Society of St. Patrick’s Parish at an early age, where he made several lifelong friendships. He was a bright student and completed his schooling at St. Patrick’s High School, after which he got his B. Com degree and went into banking where he discovered his professional passion.
A studious man, Joaquim excelled in all the multiple banking exams he took over the years, ultimately becoming distinguished as a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers, London, England.

GRANTOZA, Agueda 'Inay' Llarena - On Saturday, January 9, 2021, Agueda Llarena Grantoza, the beloved wife of Ben, the loving mother of seven daughters and the “Inay” to so many grand- and great grandchildren, passed away at age 88.
Inay was born on February 5, 1932 in Rizal, Laguna, Philippines to Lucilo Llarena and Corazon Opulencia. Due to the unfortunate death of both her parents before the age of 9, Inay was brought up by her step mother Nanay Pedyang.

FONFARA, Michael - Internationally renowned Canadian keyboard player Michael Fonfara died in a Toronto hospital on Friday January 8, 2021.
He was 74. Fonfara had been battling cancer for two years.
Born in Stevensville, Ont. August 11, 1946, Fonfara played on nine of the late Lou Reed’s albums between 1974 and 2005, including “Sally Can’t Dance,” “Rock and Roll Heart,” Street Hassle, and “The Bells,” which Fonfara also executive produced.
Fonfara was a supremely talented musician, Fonfara also performed on Foreigner’s iconic album 4, including their major hit "Urgent."

Maureen was born on November 8, 1941 in St.Catharines, Ontario.

MAGINNIS, Colin George - Was tragically taken from this earth too early, on January 9, 2021 but life works in mysterious ways. Though he is not physically here his spirit will live on within our hearts and memories.
Colin was a wonderful brother, father and friend, who touched the lives of those around him. ALLAN, Susan Elaine - November 22, 1957 - January 9, 2021 - Sue passed peacefully in Toronto, in her 63rd year.
The youngest child of John “Jack” Frederick Allan and Kay Allan, Sue was born in Belleville and spent her early days in Trenton.
Her love of storytelling led her to journalism and that led her to the Globe and Mail, where she worked for Canada’s national newspaper for 37 years before retiring. She loved her career and held roles across customer service and editorial before moving to Technology Editor and managing information architecture. The digital archive project brought together her love of history, technology and the stories behind everyday people.

Predeceased by wife Margaret (née Beggs), parents William and Nellie, sister-in-law Marion, niblings Derek and Caroline, great-nibling Connor. Bill led his own life.
Born in Scotland, he lived across North America, settling in Toronto with stops in Vancouver and Los Angeles.
