EMMLER, Johanna - Johanna Emmler was born August 4, 1930, in Mannheim, Germany, and passed away January 2, 2021, in St. Catharines, Ontario of Covid-19 at the age of 90.
She was the eldest of Peter and Maria Pfuetzer's four children, and she came to Canada in 1956 to marry Edmund Holdermann, whose family ran the neighborhood grocery shop a ten minute walk from her parents' home. Johanna and Edmund raised two children together, Christina and Ralph, until Edmund died of cancer in 1967.
Johanna then became a mature student at Seneca College, after which she was an invoicing clerk at Underwriters Laboratories until retirement. On her birthday in 1979 she married August Emmler. They bought a cottage on Lake Kasshabog, where most family get-togethers then took place, until August died in 2006.

BOFF, Olga Maria (nee Dalla Rosa) - Peacefully at Providence Healthcare on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at age of 93.
Olga, beloved wife of the late Mario. Loving mother of Mary and Anthony.

RIGSBY, Margaret Isobel - Margaret Rigsby passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on January 2, 2021. Margaret was 89 years old.
Born in Chatham, Ontario, Margaret was the only daughter of the late Dorothy (Vary) and Andrew Rigsby. She will be missed by many cousins and longtime friends.
Margaret was raised in Dresden, Ontario and continued her education at Bishop Strachan School and Trinity College in the University of Toronto where she formed many lasting friendships.
She was a history teacher at Port Hope High School, and at William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute in North York, where she spent most of her teaching career.

BANERJEE, Parbati 'Prasad' - Parbati 'Prasad' Banerjee passed away peacefully on Saturday January 2, 2021 surrounded by family at Lakeridge Oshawa Health Centre.
He was born on October 15, 1930 in Purulia, West Bengal, India.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years Asha and loving son Tapas (Kelly). He will be forever missed by his cherished granddaughter Isha. He is predeceased by his son Amit and siblings; Banmala Ghatak, Sabitri Chatterjee and Shankar Prasad Banerjee whom he loved dearly.

DILLER, Eva Margaret - Gently, after a long illness and sudden decline, Eva stepped into the presence of her Lord on January 2, 2021. She will be missed so much, by so many.
Eva was born near Maple, Ontario. Her caring nature was fostered by parents, Isaac and Annie (Reesor) Baker, as she grew up with siblings, Alvin Baker and Mary Drudge, (both predeceased) and Ruth Reesor.
In 1956 Eva married Herb Diller, joining his family of sisters: Dorothy Reesor, Eileen Baker, Norma Smith (predeceased), and Myrna Burkholder.

BRATTON-ELLIS, Joan Jeanette - Passed away peacefully, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on January 2, 2021.
Mother to Julie (Bill), grandmother to Wayne, predeceased by her husband Norman.
She is survived by her siblings Elizabeth, Marjory, Audrey and Donald, her nieces and nephews Graham and David Cooper, Jennifer and Glen Dees, Jackie Williams and David Simons.

Jeanette was an experienced ballet dancer and appeared in the film "The Red Shoes".

HONEYMAN, Eva Margaret (WYNNE) - January 2, 1955 - January 2, 2021
Born in Toronto, second of four daughters, child of Pat and John Wynne.
Evie leaves behind her loving daughter Amy, and her three sisters, Kathleen, Ann and Marie and her mother who adored her, Patricia.
Evie grew up in Richmond Hill, attending McKillop and McConaghy Public Schools, and Don Head Secondary.
She went on to complete child care studies at George Brown College. Evie was a fighter. She endured poor health her entire life but beat the odds over and over.

Ethel Levy (nee Kessler) passed away on January 2, 2021 at Shalom Village of complications from COVID-19.
She was 95, having just reached that milestone December 14th or 15th, depending on whom you asked.
She was affable, loved to laugh and a pretty good cook in her day.

MCDOWELL, Dr. Shaun Alexander - Passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 85.
Born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland to Herbert and Annie McDowell, he will join his beloved wife Rosemary and sister Anne in heaven.
He is survived and missed by his brother Joe and sisters Rosemary and Eileen.
In 1971 he immigrated to Canada with his 4 children, David (wife Laura), John (wife Brenda), Jane (husband Scott) and Ruth (husband Mike).

MELITON, Mercedes “Mercy” - Passed away at the age of 72 on January 2, 2021.
She was the 5th of 12 children, of the late Attys Galo and Aurora Meliton.
Mercy was a nurse who dedicated her career at St Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto.
She had a heart of gold. She was sweet, kind, and loving.
She devoted her life to her family and friends, always putting them first before herself.
Mercy will be dearly missed by many.
She may be gone, but her memory will continue to live in our hearts.
