GONZALEZ, Concepcion “Conchita” - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Concepcion, peacefully in hospital on Saturday, October 30, 2021. We take solace in knowing that she was at peace, and that she was surrounded by the love and kindness of her surviving son, Milé Komlen.
Conchita was born in 1926 in Granada, Spain, the middle sibling of three, and came to Canada by sea in 1965, landing at Pier 21 in Halifax. She soon arrived in Montreal where she worked briefly at McGill University. With big dreams and strong determination, she moved to Toronto where she met Milé’s father while working at Toronto General Hospital.
