GORDON, James (Jim) William - October 2, 1929 - October 12, 2021
Our father was born on October 2, 1929, as he kicked off the Great Depression.
He was married for 68 years to his bride: Ruth nee Callaway and after one year, are reunited.
Predeceased by his parents George Gordon and Rachel Beveridge, his stepmother, Ella Gordon, his brother Jack, his sister, Margaret Heath, and son-in-law Brian McCracken.
He is survived by Mark and his wife Kathy; Laura McCracken Ebbrell and her husband John, and Jamie and his wife Kim.
Much loved Grampie of Jennifer, Adam, Emily, Alasdair and Andrew Gordon; James and John McCracken; and Alex and Connor Gordon. Great-grandfather to 8.

CHARTERS, Paul Martin - March 25, 1947 - October 12, 2021, Richmond Hill, ON.
Paul was a well-loved and respected coach and teacher for over 45 years, affectionately known by his students as "The Corporal".
Paul lived a fulfilling life as a devoted father, grandfather, husband and friend.
He loved playing, coaching and watching all sports, as well as spending time with his family, most of all at the cottage in Muskoka.

SMITH, Joyce Amelia (Taylor) - Joyce passed away during the early morning hours of October 12, 2021 peacefully and painlessly. At the age of 102, she had lived a long life and was ready to go.
Behind her, she leaves her three loving children, Ron (Lorna), Nelson and Judy (Scott Rattray), seven grandchildren (Taylor, Cameron and Reid Smith, Cedric and Philip Smith, and Dean and Claire Rattray), three great-grandchildren (Madison and Isabella Smith, and Nathan Smith), not to mention friends and a lot of good memories.
Many, many thanks to Fre and the 7th floor nursing staff at The Wexford Residence for their loving care these past five years. We couldn’t have hoped for more.

Giovanni Nichilo passed away, at the age of 78 years, beloved husband of Anna.

CHAN, Cheung Hing 'Thomas' - Passed away peacefully on October 12, 2021 at Mackenzie Health, Richmond Hill. He was 103 years old.
Cheung Hing was born in Shanghai, China on August 21, 1918, at the end of World War I.
He was the youngest in a family of six sons.
At age 13, he left China for Hong Kong with his mother in pursuit of a more prosperous future.
In 1941, shortly before the Imperial Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, Cheung Hing married Wun Yue Choi at the age of 23.

McCARTHY, Teresa Veronica (nee SHANAHAN) - We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Teresa McCarthy.
Teresa was born in County Cork Ireland, June 13, 1930 and passed on October 12, 2021.
She was predeceased by her husband Jerry, her grandson Kyle Lee and her 14 siblings.
Mom leaves her children Nola (the late Gary Lee), Colleen, Carol (Mike) and Brendan (Ellen).
Proud granny to Brent (Shayna), Shannon (Dustin), Spencer, Mackenzie, Carter, Madison and Stuart. Proud great-granny to Gavin, Thomas and Caleb.

Survived by his children Andrea and Alexander Evans.
Predeceased by his father, Stephen William Evans.

Also survived by his mother Marguerite Evans and his sister Kathy Fader.

CALPITO, Lucita Lomboy - With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother, Lucita Lomboy Calpito.
She was home and with her family by her side, left us peacefully October 12, 2021.
She was 79.
Lucita was born to the late Severino and Esperanza Lomboy, June 4th 1942, in Naguilan, La Union, Philippines. She is the 3rd of 13 children.
She married the late Maj. Jose Calpito Sr. in 1969.

GORBET, Charlotte (Adelman) - June 28, 1916 - October 12, 2021
Charlotte (aka Mom, Bubby and MEGA) died peacefully, in the presence of her children, in her 105th year.
She enjoyed a magnificent birthday party with family and friends at the end of August and spent a happy Thanksgiving with family on October 11. She decided the timing and the manner of her death with the same positive attitude and competence with which she managed her life.
Charlotte was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a long career as a teacher in Welland, Ontario where she lived until 1993.

GENTILINI, Yolanda - (March 1, 1964 - October 11, 2021) - It is with the utmost heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and cherished Nonna.
Yolanda born to wonderful parents Ugo and Iride, who loved and adored their precious daughter, she had a older sister Gabriela, who is deeply saddened by her death.
Yolanda fought cancer with courage, grace and dignity; never complaining throughout her diagnosis and treatments. Although we are devastated by our loss, Heaven just gained an incredibly loved Angel.

McLEOD, Bernard Timothy - Born on August 18th, 1946 in Indian Trail Village, Couva - Trinidad n Tobago to Albert and Christiana McLeod.
Bernard Timothy McLeod, aka (Olo), suddenly passed away at the age of 75 years old on October 11, 2021 peacefully at his home in Burlington, Ontario.
Bernard worked as a custodian for 25 years at the Thomas Merton Adult Centre in Oakville, where he enjoyed interacting with the staff and students.

VILLARROEL, Maria Eliana (nee Vargas) - (November 14th, 1932 - October 11, 2021) -
Maria Eliana Villarroel (nee Vargas) was born on November 14th, 1932 in Valparaiso, Chile to Laura Rosa Cesped and Belisario Vargas. She is the youngest of five children and the last surviving of her family to pass away. To people back home in Chile, she was known as Eliana or Tia Eliana, in Canada as Maria and to her grandchildren as Mama.
In the 1950’s she met Raul Villarroel whom she married on January 17th ,1956. They went to have eight children; Betty, Nene (Raul), Susana, Aurora, Osvaldo, Manuel, Enzo Omar and Mariela.

PACHECO, Maria Julieta - Maria Julieta passed away peacefully in her home on October 11, 2021. She recently celebrated her 101st birthday surrounded by her loved ones.
She was the beloved wife of the late Dioniso Pacheco.
Loving mother of Irene Cabral (Antonio), Antonio Pacheco (Rita), Dennis Pacheco (Elizabeth) and her late son João Carlos Pacheco whom she lost in 1972 at the young age of 21.

It is with deep sadness that our family announce the passing of our beloved mother, Beryl Barker, on October 11, 2021.
It was somehow fitting that she passed on Thanksgiving Monday, as it will forever conjure up memories of our yearly trips to the cottage for Thanksgiving dinner, and the rousing Yahtzee games that she mysteriously always won.
Beryl was the cherished wife of Ted (deceased), loving sister to Iris and Eric (deceased), and especially beloved twin to Daisy (deceased).
She was a cherished and adored mother to Jeff (Monica), Janet (John), and Linda (Ken).

LILLY, Noel Adolphus - Born 1940 in Manchester, Jamaica, died on Thanksgiving day October 11, 2021 at Headwaters Health Centre, Orangeville, Ontario, Canada.
Loving father to Primrose (Michael), Sophia (Mark), step-father to Lorenzo, deceased.
Proud grandfather to Shane, Kamesha, Sheldon, Karina, Holden, Damian and Kiki.
Noel's contagious laughter will be missed around the dinner and dominoes tables. We will forever be reminded of his love for music, especially reggae and Motown.
Noel brought joy, good times and love to his friends and family. He was an unsung hero of the struggle for social justice, and served as an example to his children. He was a fireman in Jamaica.

She had spent the afternoon prior with her loving husband of 66 years, Robert Taylor, by her bedside.

RAWLUK, Joan - Joan Rawluk passed away peacefully on October 11, 2021 with her children Kim and Kevin by her side, knowing she was loved deeply by so many.
She refused to be defined by her battle with cancer, living with a grace and optimism that inspired those around her.
Joan gave her whole heart to her kids and was always there for them - from karate classes and Girl Guides all the way through law school and career changes.
She was everything to them - master chef, proofreader, shopping buddy, secret-keeper, best friend, and more.
She treasured her large family, her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and her many close friends.

On Monday, October 11, 2021, fulfilling one of his last requests, Bruce passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family.
He will be deeply missed by his children Walter (Joanna), Lisa, Monica, as well as their mother Gail and his grandsons Joey and Sebastian.
He is survived by his brother Barry (Esther), nephew Richard and nieces Valerie and Catherine.
He will be fondly remembered by those who knew him.
