DUVAL, Shirley Jane May - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Shirley passed away with her family by her side on October 10, 2021 at the age of 90 years old.
She will always be remembered for her gorgeous smile and laugh, love of travel, playing (and winning) bingo, member of the legion, her adoring love of animals, up for any fun activity, and always prepared to be the social butterfly that she was born to be.
Shirley is survived by her brother Howard Fugard of Thunder Bay.

Kathy will be greatly missed and much loved by her husband Maurice, her son Joshua & his wife Samantha and grandchildren Kaley and Conner. Kathy's sister Patricia-Anne, Brother-in-law Paul and their children and grandchildren.

WRIGHT, Leo Bernard - Passed away suddenly at his Etobicoke home on October 9, 2021, in his 95th year.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara, devoted father to Maureen (Burke Carroll), Tom (Donna), Bill (Diane), Leo (Lita), and Marilyn Penny (Steve, d. 2019). Proud grandfather to Alicia, Christopher (Paulina), Kyle (Alex Young), Derek (Ted Kellow), Amanda, Samantha, and great-grandfather to Spencer, Holden, Willa, and McCoy.
Leo lived his life with a strong Christian faith, a sense of adventure, a fierce determination, and a deep love and commitment to his family. His friendships at church, the Knights of Columbus, at his figure skating club, in his Etobicoke neighbourhood, and at Wasaga Beach were enduring and energizing. He always wanted to know if you had any news!

KARAIM, Anthony Maurice – (February 24, 1939 - October 9, 2021) - After a short battle with pneumonia and cancer, Anthony Karaim passed away peacefully with family at his side. Now joining his beloved wife Marie, of 52 years.
Born in Ethelbert, Manitoba, Anthony eventually settled in the Greater Toronto area, where he met Marie in 1962, and family quickly followed. Beloved father to Steven, and Susan, father in law to Frances, and Grandfather to Kyle, Connor, Amanda and Tyler.
Predeceased by his brothers Steve, John and Mitch, and sister Sophie, and survived by his brother Peter.

FRANKLIN, Betty Jane Wright - Betty Jane Wright Franklin, lovingly known as “Nana” and “Sugar” was born August 14th, 1930, in Benton County, Tennessee. Betty died on October 9th, 2021, at the age of 91 after a courageous and dignified 14-month battle with cancer.
She was surrounded by her husband John, their children and grandchildren in the comfort of her son and daughter-in-law’s home in Aurora, Ontario, Canada.
Betty is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 62 years, John Burr Franklin and her loving children Wes and daughter-in-law Kay-Lee Franklin, daughter Katina Franklin, son Randy Franklin and her younger sister Mary Nell Miller.

TONER, Henry "Harry" - It is with great sadness that the family of Henry "Harry" Toner announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the age of 92.
Harry will be remembered by his loving wife of 65 years, Audrey; son, Gary (Linda); grandchildren, Courtney (Sarah), Hailey, Michael, and Jessica (Shirwan); great-grandchildren, Grayson, Hadley and Melodie.
Harry had a successful career as a barber in the Toronto downtown core, once being quoted calling himself "the Ann Landers of Toronto men's hairstylists."
He loved betting at the racetrack and indulging in chocolate bars.

COOK, Carol Ann (Sooaru) - 55, of Toronto, went home to be with Jesus on October 9, 2021. Her loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened. Carol passed away while sleeping quietly.
Carol is predeceased by her father Voldemar Sooaru and mother Mary Sooaru.
She is survived by her husband Stephen Cook, brother David Sooaru, son James Sooaru, and granddaughter Skylar Sooaru-Armstrong.

SPRINGLE, William "Bill" - On October 9, Bill Springle (89) passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Loving husband to Doreen, father to Cheryl (David) Wiseman, Stephen (Anne) and Gordon (Magda), grandfather to Salem, Olivia, Madeline, Rachel and William, brother to Libby (Bernie) Racinsky and Margaret Springle.
He is predeceased by his parents Jozef and Vlasta Springle and his brother Charlie. Born February 6, 1932 in Czechoslovakia, Bill's family immigrated two years later to Minitonas, Manitoba.
A move was made to Burlington, Ontario during his teenage years.
Marrying Doreen in 1958, family life expanded and also many opportunities came to use his talents in singing, teaching and leadership at the Toronto Czechoslovak, then Bramalea and Maple Avenue (Georgetown) Baptist Churches.

Tove Toft Sorensen passed away peacefully, in Ottawa on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Hans in 2016, and leaves behind her son Soren (Betsy).
Tove will be missed by family and friends in Denmark and Canada.
She looked forward to visits and telephone conversations with many longtime friends.
Special thanks to the Glebe Centre staff and volunteers for the care and companionship that she received there.

Great-grandfather of Aubrey. Jim was formerly an Employee of Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Rexdale, ON; North American Rockwell, Columbus, Ohio; A.V. Roe, Malton, ON, and attended the University of Detroit for Aeronautical Engineering.

COWAN, Toni - Peacefully with her family by her side, Antoinette "Toni" Noreen Cowan (nee France), passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, in her 84th year.
Predeceased by her husband, Peter Cowan and her beloved daughter, Laura.
She will be forever loved by her daughter Lesley (Scott), her grandchildren Cheryl, Ashleigh, Jennifer (Colin), Cameron (Liza), and all of her great-grandchildren Brooke, Austin, Preston, Jessica, Emily, Danny, Sophie and Louie.
Toni will be lovingly and always remembered by her sister Karen, niece Kimberley, her extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at LaSalle retirement community in Burlington where she was lovingly cared for, for the last six years.
Thank you to the staff at Cama Woodlands who gave her comfort in her final days.
