TERRINCA, Noémia Do Céu Madeira - 89, of Toronto, Canada passed away on September 24, 2021.
Noémia was born on May 26, 1932 in Elvas, Portugal, to António Rodrigues Terrinca and Antonia Da Conceição Madeira.
Loving sister of Alzira, Dionísio, Maria Clemência [Bia], Maria Alice, Maurício, José, and Domingos.
She lived in Elvas, Coruche, Salvaterra de Magos and eventually settling with her two children in Alverca. An entrepreneur at heart, she owned a café and bakery, professions she remembered fondly for the way they allowed her to nourish both hungry bellies and hearts.

Maurice was born May 4, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan.
He graduated De La Salle High School and the Ohio College of Podiatry.
He followed in his father's footsteps working at the O'Connor Foot Clinic.

BROWN, Barbara Marion - On Friday, September 24, 2021, at Sunrise of Oakville, in her 86th year.
Predeceased by her loving friend Mark Taylor (2002).
Daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Brown. Survived by brothers George (the late Barbara and Isla), Donald (Mary), Douglas (the late Diane) and sister Audrey (the late Jim Peddie).
She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families.
An avid sportswoman, Barbara especially enjoyed baseball in her younger years and in more recent years enjoyed travelling, skiing, and golf and she will be missed by her friends from these parts of her life.
Born and raised in Milton, she eventually moved to Toronto as an employee of Shell Oil for 35 years.

It is with great sadness that the Seko family announces the peaceful passing of our father, Shigeo (William) Seko, on Friday, September 24th, at the amazing age of 104.

Passed peacefully in Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland in his 95th year.
Beloved husband of his late wife Annie.
Cherished father of Robin (deceased), Bruce (Cathy), Bill (Claire) and loving Grandfather of Janis, Marissa, Sam, Katie and Mairi, he will be sadly missed.
He will be sorely missed by the remaining members of the "Gang", lifelong friends, Ken, Jean, Don and Marge.
He brought his young family to Midland in 1967 to work in the engineering department of the new RCA plant and then never left the area.

FITZHARDINGE, Pamela Marjorie - Passed away peacefully on Friday, September 24, 2021.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Moreton, and sister, Betty.
She will be sorely missed by her niece, Lesley Woods, her Australian cousins, former colleagues and her numerous friends and neighbours.
Pam’s parents emigrated to Canada from Australia. They settled in Montreal where she was born in 1932.
She studied at McGill University, where she was one of very few women completing a medical degree. She specialized in pediatrics, followed by a fellowship in Philadelphia.

ADLER, Joseph William Phillip 'Phil' - Filed his final story and passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021, at 90 years of age.
Phil was predeceased by his father Bill Adler and his mother Cecilia Metz.
Phil is survived by his wife, Irene Ruth (Glenn), children Glenn and Silvia (Trampus), David, Douglas and Sandra (Scott) and Nancy (Adler) and Grant Love, two grandchildren Joseph and Silesia (Sutherland) and three great-grandchildren.
Phil always said writing an obituary is an art form, which he had plenty of experience with given that it was part of his first job as a reporter at the Kingston Whig Standard.
Journalism, and more particularly the print medium, was his first love. He started as a copy boy, became a reporter, an editor, editor-in-chief and then Bureau Chief for The Canadian Press, before moving into management at Broadcast News.

KOSTA, Nicolas - (1932 - 2021) - On September 23, 2021 our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, was called to Heaven to be in God's care.
For weeks, he was seeing his son that was taken from him far too early, almost 5 years ago. His last act on this earth was to open his eyes and reach out to him.
Nicolas was born on the island of Chios Greece on February 13, 1932. He loved the island and served in the Navy protecting that which he loved. He came to Canada to build a new life in 1957 and went back home on vacation to visit his family. As luck would have it, he met and fell instantly in love, with the love of his life, Rosie. Together for 57 years. Together they welcomed two children and 5 grandchildren. He was not only Dad and Pappou, he was a friend, uncle and soulmate.

Antonia, known as Nina to family and friends was born on November 4, 1936 to John and Delores Chircop in Qormi Malta. Nina met Martin and they were married on May 31, 1962, going on to have two children Raymond and Marty.
When Nina had Raymond, she decided to dedicate her life to being a wonderful mother and then Nana to Abigail, Ronan and Bridget.

BAKER, Eileen Jean - On Thursday, September 23, 2021 in her 103rd year, Eileen Jean Baker entered peacefully into eternal life at the Harold & Grace Baker Retirement Centre in North York, where she would be welcomed home by her Mother Elena (Stewart) Baker and father Albert Baker, younger sister Verna Snow & brother Alan Baker, brothers in law Harold Snow & Leslie Duncan & beloved nieces & nephews gone before her.
Eileen is survived by her younger sister of 10 yrs. Marion (Baker) Duncan of Brockville, ON and sister-in-law Marie (White) Baker of Pefferlaw, ON. Eileen had 21 nieces & nephews, 31 great nieces & nephews & 24 great, great nieces & nephews (including spouses).

Di FONZO, Francesco - (February 10, 1927 – September 23, 2021)
After several weeks in hospital, Francesco passed away peacefully spending his last days in Hill House Hospice.
He is survived by his children; Tom (Margherita), Carlo (Amy), Joe (Rachel); his grandchildren Daniel, Thomas (Jacqueline), Joseph (Stephanie), Stephen (Paola), David, Matthew and Patrick; great grandchildren; Mila, James, Gabrielle and Liliana. He is survived by his siblings, Onorina and Antonio (Anna Maria).
He is gone to rest with his devoted wife, Antonia, his parents, Guiseppe and Erminia, his son, Guiseppe and his brothers, Amilcare and Americo.

SANTOPIETRO, Maria Pierina - Maria Santopietro, 101, died early morning Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 at West Park Long Term Care Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
She was born in Italy on May 5,1920 to Nicola and Nicolina Marrone. Maria married Donato Santopietro and they immigrated to Canada in 1956 with two young children. She went on to have three more children in Canada.
Maria worked at Canadian Linen Supply for many years until she retired. She was family orientated, she loved to care for her grandchildren, work in her vegetable garden, cook and entertain.
Her husband Donato Santopietro and son Robert Santopietro preceded her in death. She is survived by her two sons Angelo Santopietro (Mary Grace), Frank Santo (Rose), her two daughters Silvia Trigiani (Philip) and Nicki Murphy (Howard).

THOMPSON, Barbara - (1930 - 2021) - Barbara passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021 at Grace Manor Holland Christian Homes (HCH) in Brampton.
After losing her twin sister Frances earlier this year, she is now happily reunited with her sister. Barbara touched so many lives in her long and active life and will be remembered for her sweet and gentle kindness, her love and devotion to her family, and her service to others as a volunteer for numerous causes and organizations.

HETHERINGTON, Lee Michele (nee JACKSON) - Passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021, after many years with Alzheimer's disease.
She is the wife of David Hetherington, loving mother to her extended family of Jacqueline, Lindsay, Gregory and Matthew, and loving grandmother to Mason, Avery, Taylor, Lyla, Logan, Carter, Sophie and Zoey.
