DIAMANTOUROS, Dimitra - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Dimitra on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
Dimitra was born on March 21, 1919 in Karyes, Laconia, Greece. Known to all that loved her as yiayia or thea Dimitroula, she lived her 102 years with immense passion and a true love of life.
She cherished her role as the family matriarch and leaves behind an incredible legacy.
Dimitroula is survived by her children, Demo (Georgia), Themio (Patricia), Triandafili (George) and John (Eleni), and her grandchildren, Demetra, George (Dina), Dimitri (Dimitra), Anna (Jimmy), Demitra (Alex), Leonida and Cristina. She is also survived by her ten great grandchildren - all of whom she loved fiercely.

MILOSH, John William - It is with profound and lasting sadness that the family of John William Milosh (Mary Elspeth Lougheed Milosh, Julia Elisabeth Milosh and Michael James Milosh) announces his passing after a lengthy illness.
John was cherished by family and friends for his love of music and theatre, which brought much beauty into our lives. John spent his life dedicated to music.
As a graduate of the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto, he went on to be Head of Music at Weston Collegiate Institute, followed by York Memorial Collegiate Institute.
He was also a deeply committed member of the Trinity Chamber Ensemble and the Artemis String Quartet in Toronto for many years.

KALAMARIS, George - It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing on September 8, 2021 of our beloved father George Kalamaris.
To know "Kalamari", is to know life.
He was larger than life.
Passionate, vibrant and full of zeal, only 5’ 8’ in stature, he stood as if he was 10 feet tall.
Our protector, our leader, our teacher, and our mentor, it was always family first for George. He made us feel safe, secure and most importantly loved.

ELWAHSH, Fiby - Passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
Anyone who knows Fiby, knows that she was an angel… the one with the brightest smile, the kindest heart, and the most joyful spirit.
The one who drank out of jars and laughed from the heart. Fiby had the warmest embrace, people often came up to her to receive hugs like no other.
Her face always shone with the most beautiful smile that filled others with encouragement and support.
Fiby loved the Lord faithfully and trusted Him with all her heart, always praying for His will to be done.

SHAFRAN, Anna Maria 'Anci' - Born 16 December 1931, Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. Died September 8, 2021 in Toronto in her 90th year.
Devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and aunt.
Anci lived through the horrors of the Holocaust but survived with the help of her beloved mother, the late Serena Gross. After the war, she emigrated first to Kingston, Jamaica and then to the USA where she graduated from the University of Cincinnati.
In 1954 she married Dr. Murray Shafran and moved to Toronto where she created a loving home for their family of 4 boys.

GREEN, James Leslie - (1963 - 2021) - It is with heavy heart that we make the announcement of the passing of James Leslie Green on September 7, 2021 at his home in the Wexford residence Scarborough with his mother Roma Green and family.
James, aKa Jim Green and Jimmy Green, was the most delightful loving person, who touched so many hearts and souls with his happy peaceful presence. Born in Toronto, James is brother to Garrith Green, sister Lesley Studholme, uncle to Lia and Shane Studholme and sister in law Pat Green.
Born with Down Syndrome during a time when little was known, James survived 57 years to help pioneer and pave a way for current social acceptance and he is truly honoured for this.

CORMIER, Evelyn Louise (nee Leblanc) - On September 7th, 2021, after a joyous month of celebrating her 90 years with family and friends, Evelyn Louise (nee Leblanc) Cormier passed away peacefully at home.
She was predeceased by her husband Laurence and three of her children; Norman, Andrea and Audra.
She is survived by three of her children; Francine Giroux, Laurene (Claude) and Steven (Arbee), and four grandchildren; James, Elizabeth (Dave), Anthony and Owen.
She was an at home Mom to six of her own children and foster-mom to numerous children on their way to being adopted. Her last foster child was George who became a permanent member of her family.

LEAVITT, Reta Mae - It is with sadness we announce the passing of Reta Mae Leavitt (née MacGillivray) on September 7, 2021.
Reta to her friends, Grammie to her family, and a joy to all who knew her, she is survived by 4 children, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and three sisters.
Born the third of 11 children on March 10, 1922 in New Glasglow, Nova Scotia, she married Kenneth Leavitt.
They lived in a dozen places over 49 years of happy marriage, until his death in 1991.
Reta died peacefully, with family at her side, in her room at Southlake Care Village, after a brief illness.

STEVENSON, Walter R. - Passed away tragically and suddenly on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the age of 79.
A loving father, he will be deeply missed by Catherine (Steve), Kimberly (Jeff) and Matthew.
Much loved granddad of Chris, Cole, Stella, Nikki, and Madison.
Survived by the mother of his children, Margaret.
Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Wally was the best big brother to his surviving sibling, "Bullet" Bob.
After a distinguished career in law as Senior Partner at McLean & Kerr, Wally will be greatly missed by his many respected colleagues and dear friends.

CHARCHALIS, Terry - Terry left this world to be in a better place on September 7, 2021, at the age of 85.
He battled a six-week, life-threatening illness (not COVID-19) in hospital, like a champ.
He was born in Montreal, QC, and after finishing high school, left to marry the love of his life Beverley (nee Parkin) to start a new life in Mississauga.
They were happily married for 62 years and had two amazing kids: David (Richard) and Gary (Theresa).
What more could a Husband and Dad ask for! He is survived by: his sister Frances (Andrew); nephew Robert (Yasmine), and their children Kai and Mia; niece Michelle, and her children Bryce and Jace.
Terry was preceded in death by: his parents Nicholas and Mary; brother John (survived by Helen); and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

WOO, Vee-Liam Woo Kwan 'Bill' - It is with profound sadness that the family of Bill Woo announces his passing away peacefully at Scarborough Centenary Hospital on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.
He was known to his family as either Bill or William, and to his colleagues as Billy.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Camilia, his son Brian, his sister Brigitte, his brothers Daniel (Linda), Alex (Roseline), and Phillippe, brothers-in-law Gordon and Alex, sisters-in-law Winnie, Gerry and Alice, and his nieces and nephews.
He was a kind and gentle soul who had a great work ethic.

EHRLICH, Irena Baranowska - 102, dearly departed, September 7, 2021.
Born 1918, in Ciechanów, near Warsaw, Poland.
In Wilno, she completed her chosen education as a teacher.
With the outbreak of WWII, she was torn from her home on April 13, 1940 and transported to Siberia with her mother, brother, and three sisters to a life of deprivation and hard labour.
She undertook a dramatic, dangerous escape from a train to join the Polish troops, assuring her family that she would find them, achieving her goal to enlist on November 16, 1941.
She served with distinction in the 2nd Polish Corps, 8th British Army under General Wladyslaw Anders, moving with the army through the Middle East, and then to Italy.
