HALKIDIS, Marianthi 'Mary' - Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Mary on July 1, 2021 at the Hellenic Home for the Aged at the age of 85.
Mary was a loving wife to Ilias, a devoted mother to Debbie and George, a caring mother-in-law to Gerry, and a proud grandmother (yiayia) to Nicholas, Stephanie, Marcus, Madalaine and Christopher.
Mary was born in Korinos, Katerini, Greece on March 24, 1936.
She came to Canada with her husband in 1964 where they settled with their young children in Toronto, Ontario.

PENNEY, Hoover Mac Donald - Went to be with his Lord on Thursday July 1, 2021 at the age of 91.
He was born on October 7, 1929 to Alfred and Winnifred Penney of Deer Harbour, Newfoundland.
He was married for 50 wonderful years to Dorothy Eileen Marsh until her death in 1999.
Donald was fortunate to find love again when he married Lily Bell Reynolds. He leaves behind his wife, Lily, of 21 years; his sisters Doris Vardy and Ena Marsh(predeceased by his brother Lawrence & sister Eva Myles).

MOFFAT, G. Michael George - "Michael" Moffat, of Brampton, ON, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021.
Michael was born on August 25, 1935, to Thomas and Jennie (Harris) Moffat (predeceased) in Belleville, ON.
Raised in Tweed, ON, with his parents and 8 siblings, it is in this small town where he met the love of his life, Catherine.
Michael and Catherine raised their four children in Toronto and Brampton, where they were involved in many sports and activities.
Michael's greatest love was his family.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 59 years, Catherine (nee Quinn) and children Edward (Evangeline) Moffat, James Moffat, John (Jennifer) Moffat, and Kate (Matthew) Devine.

STRUTHERS, John Alexander - Died at his home, surrounded by family, in Toronto, Ontario July 1, 2021, from cancer, at the age of 67.
John was a native Torontonian born to Georgina Dell Struthers (nee Switzer) and James Alexander Struthers.
He has one sister, Mary Richardson, who survives him.
he love of John’s life, Beth Fanjoy, was his life anchor during the progression of his disease.
They spent too few years together after finding each other in later life.

HORTON, Harry Allen - Not with bended nor tilted head, but with a slight inhalation, Dad/Papa closed his lovely blue eyes for the last time on July 1, 2021, surrounded by his five sons.
Harry Allen Horton, born 1931, was predeceased by his loving mother, Sarah, kind father, Wilfred, adoring sister, Elsie and loyal brothers, Wilfred and Ralph.
Dad's will to live was evident until his last breath.
Unfortunately, his passion for life: the "terrific" family dinners, birthdays, cottages, Christmases, Easters, Thanksgivings, travel, opera, theatre, tennis and golf, receded upon the death of Betty, his wife, best friend and companion of 62 years. JEFFREY, Lena - April 10, 1923 - July 1, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce Lena Jeffrey (nee Dobrowolski) peacefully passed away in her home on July 1, 2021.
Lena was born to John and Julia Dobrowolski in Star City, Saskatchewan on April 10, 1921.
Lena met James (Jim) Jeffrey, the love of her life, while he was stationed with the RAF in Estevan, Saskatchewan, and it was there that they were married on December 31, 1943.
Soon after they moved to Jim's home in Dalkeith, Scotland and lived with Jim's parents until the war was over.
The couple moved back to Canada and settled in Toronto before buying their house in Willowdale , Ontario.

SOLO, Vera - Peacefully, surrounded by family, on July 1, 2021.
Born May 15, 1943, to Olga and Nicholas Onischuk. She is survived by her husband Walter, her son Matthew and his wife Erin, her daughter Alanna and her partner Elspeth, her grandchildren Zachary and Ashley, and her sister Louise Kot.
Growing up in Hamilton, she formed lifelong friendships and shared adventures with her extended family, niece Kimberly and nephews Mark and Wayne.
She ecstatically cheered on the Hamilton Tiger Cats team. While studying for her Master of Education at the University of Toronto she met Walter.
After enjoying many travels through Europe with dear friends and meeting new ones, Vera and Walter married in 1971.
