DEFRIES, Donna Marie - We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Donna Defries (nee Russell), at home in Ottawa, ON, on June 22, 2021 at the age of 58.
Cherished wife for 30 years of Craig and loving mother of Alex (Claire), Charlotte and Aislinn.
Beloved sister of Linda Price (Ross) and Glenn Russell (Sherrie).

Elaine Bandermann, age 73 of Stratford and formerly of Toronto, passed away peacefully, at the Stratford General Hospital, on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
Born in Amarillo, Texas, daughter of the late Lorine and Francis Pritchard, she became a proud citizen of Canada. Sister to Lucy and Ruth.

TAKAOKA, Catherine Keiko 'Kay' (nee Arai) - In the early morning of June 21st, 2021, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 90.
Kay was predeceased by her husband George.
She will be greatly missed by children Beverley (John Dovbniak), Brian (France Gauthier), Alan (Sylvie Ruel), Paul & Cheryl (Katy, nee Standen), grandchildren Nicholas Dovbniak (Kristin, nee Rugg), Emily Dovbniak (Kevin Elliott) and Gabrielle Takaoka, and great-grandchildren Sage and Wren.

POTTS, John Douglas - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Doug Potts, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather on June 21, 2021 at the age of 88.
Doug was born in Bobcaygeon to Roy and Augusta Potts where he grew up in the family home along with his older brother Stan. Doug was a graduate of the very first class of Ryerson Polytechnical Institution, Radio and Television Engineers.
Doug enjoyed a long career in the television and movie industry, traveling in his mobile truck including filming the Winter Olympics in Alberta, raising his hand when the call came for a cameraman who could film while on skies. Doug also worked on well known TV productions such as King of Kensington and the Tommy Hunter Show.
He met the love of his life Liz Humphrey, a young nursing student in Blenheim, ON. They married in Chatham ON, and spent 65 happy years together. Doug and Liz raised four children in Malton, ON.

VAN SCHEPEN, Hugh - Hugh Van Schepen, passed away on June 21, 2021 at the age of 80.
He is survived by his wife Tena of 46 years. He will also be missed by many family, friends and neighbors.
Hugh worked as ROP tester in agriculture for many years. Hugh was also a Big Brother for many years, member of the Emmanuel Church bowling league, a Hockey coach and member of the Brampton Horseshoe Club.

ZAROWSKYJ, Maria Teresa - Maria Teresa Zarowskyj was born on August 25, 1926 in Serra San Bruno, Catanzaro, Italy and passed away on June 21, 2021 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at the age of 94 years.
Teresa was predeceased by her beloved husband Roman (December 10, 2010).

Her work life began at Brown Betty Restaurant where she was later promoted to manage the Ice Cream Wholesale department.
This experience gave Thelma the entrepreneurial drive that led her to establish a successful furniture store and restaurant on Robb Street in Georgetown.

OOSTING, Tjibbe Joe - May 16, 1936 - June 21, 2021
With love and sadness, the family of Tjibbe Joe Oosting announces his peaceful passing on Monday, June 21, 2021, at the age of 85.
Joe was born and raised in Munnekeburen, Netherlands.
He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1953 at the age of 16.
Joe later met our loving mother Grace, and they married in June 1958. They were married for 56 years before Grace's passing in August 2014.
Together they lived, worked, and raised their family in Agincourt, Ontario and enjoyed retirement and their grandchildren in Burlington, Ontario.
Joe had great passion for travelling, gardening, and cycling.

COBURN, Beverley Joan (Miller) - Passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021.
Beverley was born in Toronto. She worked her way through the Toronto school system graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1954.
Beverley had won a Red Cross bursary so her first job was working for the Red Cross Hospital in Thessalon.
She later was the nurse in charge at Whitney.
In 1955, she began a two-year stint as a public health nurse with the Etobicoke Department of Public Health.
