CHANDLER, Roger John  -  Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on August 3, 2018 in his 72nd year.

Beloved husband of Karen Chandler (nee McCormack).

Dearly missed brother of Lloyd (Anita), Terry (Barb), Brian (Shelley) and sister Judy (Ted). Son-in-law Ray & Joan McCormack, step siblings Debbie (Steve), Mike (Rose), Brenda (Dennis), Christine (Mark).

Roger has two children Ryan (Crystal), Deanna (Jamie) and seven grandchildren.

He will be missed by his Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Roger was predeceased by his parents Alice and Lloyd Chandler and sister Mary Sabyan.

Roger’s love of adventure and free spirit took him out west where he worked for Hyak White Water River Rafting. After coming home, he established and operated Blue Heron Rafting. Roger also drove taxi in Brantford. But Roger’s first love, beside Karen was comedy. He worked as a stand-up comedian for Yuk Yuk’s as well as touring on his own. Those who had the pleasure to ride in his raft or his taxi were captive audiences.

Cremation has taken place at Tranquility Burial & Cremation. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday August 18, 2018 at The Navy Club, 54 Wadsworth Street, Brantford from 1:00 – 3:30 pm.

Donations to the SPCA would be appreciated (Roger’s other love was his dog Maggie).

The family wish to thank the staff at the Brantford General Hospital for their care of Roger.
