ROBERTSON, Janice Harrison (nee JONES)   - Born December 6, 1932, Toronto Predeceased by parents, Isobel Jones (nee McQuay) and Raymond Jones of Toronto.

She was an only child.

Predeceased by her husband, Donald Snell Robertson (2016) and her daughter, Julie (2009).

Leaves behind her sons Tim (Kimberly) and Andrew (Linda).

Her grandchildren: Warren (Jenn), Jenna, Kyle and Jessica (Tomas Cleary). Great-grandchildren: Nathan, Nicholas, Riley and Dakota. After a selfless and courageous 9 year battle with throat cancer.

Mom fought hard and with dignity. When asked how she was feeling by the various nurses and doctors and friends and family her standard response was always, "I'm fine"! She didn't want anyone to fuss over her. She was able to stay at the beloved cottage on Lake of Bays of 42 years for her last 6 weeks and only had to spend her last night in a hospital, which is exactly how she wanted it. Mom grew up in Forest Hill and attended Branksome Hall in Toronto.

She met her husband, Donald, at Business college and they were wed in 1955. Don started and ran a successful Chrysler Dealership in Brampton from 1964 until 1991 while Janice ran the house and raised the kids. She involved herself in the community by volunteering at Peel Memorial Hospital, belonged to a local bridge club, played a lot of golf and rarely missed her 5 o'clock scotch and water!

Special thanks to Doctor Patrick Gulane and Dr. Hope at Princess Margaret Hospital who were always so positive and supportive for 8 years. A private family service will take place in Brampton at a later date.

Donations to The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
