Lobo JohnLOBO, Ainsley John Henry - Passed away on August 27, 2018 at Mississauga, Ontario.

Born on December 6, 1931 in Lahore, British India (now Pakistan) to Anthony and Eurily, Ainsley was christened Ainsley John Henry Lobo, the youngest of 4 children.

Ainsley’s father, as head Locomotive-Foreman with the British Railways, often moved the family from one geographic locale to another and Ainsley would happily travel with his mother and siblings Daphne, Trevor, and Kenneth to whatever destination was next in store.

Ainsley learned independence from a very early age at boarding schools perched in idyllic hill-stations across the Indo-Pak sub-continent. He was raised as a staunch Catholic the beliefs of which he would later instill in his own family.

Ever the debater, it was no surprise that Ainsley aspired to be a lawyer. His father’s sudden passing when Ainsley was barely 16 years of age forced him to abandon his occupational dreams and he unselfishly began working to help support his mother and family.

Ainsley applied his analytical skills as a lead auditor and senior manager with the renowned Ford, Rhodes, Robson, Morrow accounting firm in Pakistan. He would see an uninterrupted run of 56 years with the firm until his retirement in the 1990s.

As a bachelor, Ainsley was an avid sportsman especially skilled in badminton and table tennis. He took up raising love-birds, an art that rivalled professional breeders in Karachi.

Ainsley would soon meet the love of his life in Beryl Lobo (nee Beryl Jelly) to whom he got married in 1959. The 60-year union resulted in three children, Dave, Keith, and Beverley-Ann. Their children would themselves begin families of their own (Dave with Carol, Keith with Alicia, and Beverley-Ann with Peter). Ainsley and Beryl would forge a life that was woven around their family spanning time spent in Pakistan and North America.

God gave Ainsley the ability to not only be an influential & loving father and husband but a grandfather to Daniel, Joshua, Sean, Corey, and Will.

The service will take place at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 5650 Mavis Rd, Mississauga, Ontario on August 31, 2018 at 1:00pm
