ORMSBY, Shirley Irene (nee Ault) - Aged 89, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2018.
Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles (Chuck) Ormsby.
She was a loving mother to her son, Mike Ormsby. Survived by her sister, Velma. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her sweet dog Maddie.
Shirley was a long-time resident of King Township. She was an active volunteer for over 50 years with Canadian Cancer Society, York Regional Police Services, Kidney Foundation and King Township Library and won many awards for her hours of dedication to the community. Shirley was kind, caring, and passionate. She donated to many causes.
A very special thank you to Shirley’s many friends for their love and support. Hugs to the caregivers, nurses and doctors for the incredible, gentle, respectful and loving care given to Shirley.
A memorial service will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora on October 13th at 12:00 p.m.
