ARNOLDI, Gwendolyn Phyllis Jane (Ball) - October 2, 1927 – September 13, 2018 - In her 91st year, after a short illness at Mt. Sinai Hospital.
Beloved wife of 53 years to Peter (deceased) and sister to Arthur Winnington-Ball (deceased), Gwen will be greatly missed by her children, Frances (Peter Main), Charles, and Elizabeth (Blaine Ross).
She was the much adored granny to Alexandra and Christopher.
Mom was a graduate of Trinity College and the Hospital for Sick Children nursing school. She loved her work as a pediatric nurse and continued to volunteer at HSC long after she had retired from active nursing practice.
She lived her entire life in the same North Toronto house and was a lifelong parishioner at Grace Church on-the Hill. She took pride in remaining active well into her final year.
Her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends, with the occasional glass of chardonnay.
Many thanks to the excellent care she received in her last days at Mt. Sinai.
The funeral will be held at Grace Church on-the-Hill, 300 Lonsdale Road, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Grace Church on-the-Hill and the Hospital for Sick Children.
