Brown MargoBROWN, Margo Catherine - It is with great sadness that we say our final good bye to Margo. She fought with dignity against the debilitating onslaught of early on-set Alzheimer’s and finally lost the war.

Margo was a loving mother, caring wife and reliable friend who challenged us all to be our very best. Her artistic flair could be seen in everything she touched and was unafraid to test her boundaries. She had a passion for travel and was an accomplished artist.

She spent her early working years at Miss Chatelaine magazine as an award winning Art Director. In the 80’s, she transitioned into advertising where she met her husband Peter and started their family.

After trying her hand as a stay at home mum, her passion for decorating and renovating led her to a career in real estate at Bosley. She excelled in her new profession, but more importantly it enabled her to maintain a work-life balance and spend summers at her special place on Lake of Bays with her family.

Margo was an avid tennis, badminton and bridge player and will be missed by her many friends at the Granite Club and Lake of Bays Tennis Club.

Margo is survived by her husband, Peter Irwin and their children, Caleigh and Reid Irwin.

You are invited to join the family for a celebration of life on Thursday September 27 from 4-6pm at the Granite Club, 2350 Bayview Ave, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Margo’s memory may be made to the Margo Brown Memorial Fund in support of Alzheimer’s Research at the Baycrest Foundation.
