Miklas AshleyMIKLAS, Ashley May - Ashley May Miklas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in Toronto, Ontario at Mount Sinai Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.

Born on Monday, August 19, 1996, Ashley May was the love of our life. The beautiful daughter of Paul and Holly Miklas and cherished sister of Adam and Mathew Miklas, special friend of Adrienne Meyers, Cassidy Timpano.

Beloved granddaughter of Dusty and Anne Miklas and Dr. Doug and Thelma Dalgleish.

Sweetest niece of Greg and Linda Miklas, Brian Miklas, Steve and Janet Moffat, Mark Dalgleish, Kristi Forsey, Kerri and David Rowe and Margaret and John Gooderham. Favourite cousin to Andrew (Erin), Jason, David (Kate), Laura, Sarah, James, Jake, Ryan, Elizabeth, Chanelle, Jordan, Stephanie, James (Beth), Zachary (Jamie), Chad (Emily), Shayla, Kara (Taylor), Quinn (Nat), Katelyn, Jaycie, Madison and Georgie. Ashley was adored by everyone.

Her wonderful friends meant so much to her and will miss her dearly. Rachel, Taylor, Cole, Hannah, Estelle, Carly, Serena, Nic, Rica, Elizabee, Johnny, Alexa, Maral, and so many more, you were her world. Thank you for all the love. Ashley will be missed dearly by her family at the Bishop Strachan School, Queen’s University, University of Toronto, and extended family at Upper Canada College.

A special thanks to Dr. Albi Razak, Dr. Lilian Siu, Dr. Rebecca Glady, Dr. Ann O’Neil, and Dr. Charles Catton at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Sarcoma Clinic.

Thank you to the Palliative Care Team and Acute Pain Management at Mount Sinai Hospital, Dr. Leah Steinberg, Dr. Sarah Kawaguchi, Dr. Harleen Toor, Dr. Narges Khoshnood, Dr. Jennifer Shapiro, Dr. Victor Cellaris, Dr. Flamer, Dr. Jon Hunter, Dr. Melissa Lee and Emily Lovrics. Thank you to the angels on the 10th floor, Registered Nurses, Bonnie, Wanza, Nicole, Julie, Maya, Joanne, Phoebe, Andrea, Christina and the entire team. We are so grateful for your respectful care and kindness. Very special mention to our dear friend Deborah for her extraordinary support. 

Ashley was taken from us too soon but her beautiful spirit will live on in our hearts forever. As Ash always reminded us, “Live your best life.”

Visitation from 5:00 - 8:00pm Saturday, September 22nd at Bishop Strachan School, 298 Lonsdale Road, Toronto. Visitation from 5:00 - 8:00pm Sunday, September 23rd at Jerrett North York Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, North York, South of Steeles Ave.

Funeral Service at 10:00am Monday, September 24th at Saint Michael’s Cathedral Basilica, 200 Church Street, Toronto. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill.

In lieu of flowers, kindly support the Sarcoma Medical Oncology Research Fund at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or the Ashley Miklas Memorial Fund at Mt. Sinai Hospital.
