OVEREND, Dorothea "Doe" Mary - Died at peace at "94 years young" in Cobourg, ON, with her daughters Sue and Barb by her side on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, after a long and busy life.
She was infamous as the first resident to request WIFI in her long-term care home in Cobourg and relied on her iPad and cell phone to communicate.
Mother to Sue Stephenson (Tom Milner), Wendy Stephenson (deceased) and Barb Voycey (Bruce).
Gramma to Ryan Voycey (Sara), Brad Voycey (Lindsay) and Michele Jenkins (Jeff). Great-Gramma to Matthew, Katie, Cole, Jack, Ella and Finn. Loved by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brothers Gordon, Howard, Bruce and sisters Margaret and Ruth. Dorothea was a radio operator in WW2 out of Malton, worked at Ontario Hydro and had many varied interests and occupations.
The family would like to thank all the staff at The Golden Plough who cared for her during the last two years in Cobourg.
There will be no service, at her request.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to The Golden Plough Lodge or the Canadian Cancer Society.
