MORRISON, Reverend John (Jack) Alan Reverend John (Jack) Alan Morrison  -  82, passed away peacefully with his children by his side after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

He was born on January 21, 1936 to the late Jean (Cowan) and the late Edward Morrison.

Jack was born and raised in Toronto, where he graduated from the University of Toronto and then Emmanuel College in 1965. Prior to becoming an ordained minister, he began his career in Little Grand Rapids Indian Reserve in Manitoba. He served as a United Church Minister for 32 years, in various cities and towns across Ontario.

Even after retirement, he remained involved and continued to be a minister where needed. Even though Jack was born and raised in the big city of Toronto, he preferred to be in a smaller town, where he could enjoy the solitude, peace and quiet, natural beauty of his surroundings and the great outdoors.

Jack is survived by his children, Peter of Ottawa, Melanie (Steve) of Mississauga and Liane (Tim) of Manchester, NH, his grandchildren Paige, Riley and Hayden McNamara and Zachary Morrison Wall. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children Connie (née Boyd), brother William Morrison and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister Jean Bolton, her husband John, nephew William Morrison Jr. and sister-in-law Grace Morrison.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church, 1 Hastings St. S., Bancroft, Ontario. Interment at Emmanuel Community Cemetery, Maple Leaf, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jack's name to the Alzheimer's Society or the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada.
