ORSER, Thomas Earl  - January 13, 1933 - September 21, 2018

Earl died peacefully on September 21, 2018 at the Balmoral Retirement Home in Toronto.

He was a 30-year survivor of prostate cancer and working with Dr. Emmenegger at Sunnybrook Hospital he was determined and relentless in his battle.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Primrose, his daughters Nancy and Martha, his sons-in-law Scott and Simon and granddaughters Madison, Autumn and Phoebe.

Earl was born in Maberly, Ontario, son of Wakeford and Evelyn Orser. He moved to Richmond Hill in his twenties, to become a teacher at MacKillop Public School. Later graduating from Queens University. He had the good fortune to meet Primrose Craigie (Orser), her parents Eva and Bob and sisters Heather and Sharon.

They welcomed him to their family, home and community. After a long and successful career teaching, Earl, who as an avid gardener, took early retirement and started a gardening business. He was a continuous learner, graduating from landscape architecture at Ryerson University.

He was generous and always there for those he loved. He will be greatly missed.

A special thanks to the staff at the Balmoral, Jolyn, Rob and Lisa for allowing him to enjoy his life to the fullest.

Any donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

A celebration of his life will be planned at a future date.
