VasquezTorres LilianaVASQUEZ TORRES, Liliana de la Mercedes  -  Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her home surrounded by her daughter, son and granddaughter.

She was born on July 28, 1926 in her beloved Chile to Juan and Agustina’s Vasquez Torres. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Luis, Maria, Elisa, Verta, Juan (Chico Pepe). 

Liliana lived in Canada for 40 years with her daughter Ana building a loving home. 

Abuelita will be greatly missed by her granddaughter Claudia (Pejman) who she helped raised and loved dearly.

She traveled frequently to Denmark to visit her cherished son Hernan (Anne) and her treasured grandsons who called her 'Muffi' - Nicolas and Luis (Laerke). Abuelita was a beloved great-grandmother to Adrian, Esteban, Felix and Oscar.

Liliana never lost contact with all of her nephews, nieces and friends in Chile who loved her deeply. The many friendships made in Canada will live on in the memories and stories shared by all. Liliana loved to sing, dance and was the life of the party.

A funeral service will be held in Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A reception will take place in the Rosedale Room following the service.

'La fiesta sin Liliana - no era fiesta.'

Liliana will always be remembered with love and adoration.
