MATLE, Walter Karl Heinz - It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the Matle family announce the peaceful passing of Walter Matle, at Woodhall Park LTC Community on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the age of 86.
He is survived by his wife, of 57 years, Lois (nee Greenaway). Loving father of Sharon, Ryan (Patsy). Cherished Opa to Liam.
Walter will be missed by his nieces Susan (Jim), Lorna, cousin Lotti in Germany and long-time friends Manfred and Traudl from California.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff, involved in Walter’s care, at Woodhall Park LTC Community in Brampton.
A memorial, to his life, will be held at a later date and his ashes will be scattered at one of his favorite canoeing lakes, in the spring.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made, in Walter’s memory, to the Alzheimer Society of Peel.
