Jeyarajan IdaJEYARAJAN, Ida Gertrude Rose  - Beloved wife of the late Vinoward Bastiampillai Xavier (retired Superintendent of Post and Telecommunications and former Principal Advisor at the National Savings Bank of Sri Lanka), passed away in Toronto on Monday, October 15, 2018.

Loving mother and mother-in-law of the late Marina Dharishini and Roy Nicholas, Surendra, Angela Vinodhini and Basil Xavier, Dr. Marie Sharmini and Dr. Eugene Joseph, Anne Radhini and Gilbert Rasiah, Marino Sathyendra and Amirthi, and Angelo Gnanendra.

Daughter of the late Dennis and the late Rasam Stanislaus, daughter-in-law of the late Muthiah and the late Annamuthu Bastiampillai. Precious and proud grandmother of Nirusha, Judy, Dr. Greshan, Johann, André, Gianna and Ava. Grandmother-in-law of Sanjeeva Camillus.

Loving sister and sister-in-law of the late Joseph and the late Olive Rajaratnam, the late Lily and the late Frederick Martyn, the late Victor and the late Philomena Rajanathan, the late Cyril and Pushpam Stanislaus, the late Alagaratnam and the late Ranee Stanislaus, Hector and Ursula Stanislaus, the late Winnifred and the late Reggie Benedict, the late Wilfred Bastiampillai, and the late Wilmot and the late Leela Bastiampillai.

Ida Rose was a strong, selfless and caring wife, mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family.

She opened her heart and spread cheer to all those she came across and will be remembered for her warm embraces and undying passion for music and gardening. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 19th from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, Toronto. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 10:30 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 265 Alton Towers Circle, Toronto, followed by the burial.
